I bought this switch to replace the switches that are on 2 old motors. Century Ace from the early 90s. At first try the switch only ran in one direction. I rewired the motor according to your suggestion in the manual. It will run in both directions now, but the motor overheats and trips the breaker. I had a boat lift company send an electrician out and after 3 hours, they gave up. Both switches, same problem on different motors. Very light weight load on lift. Called customer support and they were very helpful. Works like a champ now

Great replacement!
Memorial day weekend Friday. Boat lift went out midstream. Motor good. Must be old controller. Ordered new controller Friday at 8:00 pm. Arrived by 1:00 pm Saturday. Switched out with old controller Sunday morning. Fishing Sunday afternoon. Controller and supplied instructions excellent! Very pleased! New controller nicely made and instructions supplied more than sufficient.

Horrible design of terminals
The terminals for the wiring are impossible to use - not “difficult” but “impossible”. Some of the terminals are tucked up into the box where my fingers have a hard time reaching. Once you have either one of the provided male terminal ends or bare stranded wire in place, no matter how hard you tighten the clamp the wire falls out with a few minutes. I have found these switches (I ordered two) unusable. Money wasted.

As Advertised
Installed easily with good directions. There are two types of switch so make sure when ordering you confirm what you want: spring loaded (momentary) or will stay on.

No wiring diagram shipped with item
Replacement for an existing switch. Good replacement but it did not come with any information on installation. No wiring information. Had to spend hours on the internet to figure my own wiring plan.
