Solidly built, high-quality product
The unit installed easily in minutes using the included braided metal supply line with no additional adapters needed (although the company's guaranteed installation policy promises to supply anything you may need to make it fit) and it works exactly as advertised. The filter is a stand-alone unit that sits solidly under the sink against the back wall and requires no mounting brackets to hold it in place. The water runs clear and tastes fine, reminding me a little of soft water, although this line does not run through our whole-house water softener. My wife and I drink Ice Mountain bottled water exclusively, but we use this filtered kitchen water for coffee, cooking, and for our three dogs and three cats.We live in Speedway, Indiana, and the city’s water quality has been borderline in its annual testing over the last few years. So, we felt we needed to do something to protect ourselves and the fur babies. We have a Delta Lenta touch-activated single-handle faucet with pull-down sprayer, so a faucet-mounted filter is not an option for this location. After thorough research, we chose the CuZn product over several other highly rated brands with replaceable filters. Based on the online reviews, their customers have been extremely satisfied with the ease of installation, product performance, and the level of service and support. We also liked that their product is made in America. The filter has a 5-year pro-rated replacement policy for the unit and when the 5 years is up, you can just easily remove and replace it with a new unit. The per year cost is less than other units that require their filter cartridges to be replaced on a regular basis. One of the reasons I chose it over the others was its high GPM rating, and I’m happy to say there was no noticeable reduction in the waterflow after installation.Another reason I chose it was the wide range of contaminants it filters. CuZn included 5 chlorine test strips with the product under the theory that Chlorine is the contaminant most commonly present in city water and is a good indicator of overall filter performance. The first test 24 hours in came back clear, so I assume it is doing its job. However, I may run a more extensive water quality test on it at some point to satisfy any curiosity I might have about its rated performance. Like many on the market, this unit is not a TDS (Totally Dissolved Solids) filter. But since these include beneficial minerals found in spring water generally thought to be essential for good health, you probably don't want them to be removed unless you're trying to achieve totally pure H20 for some reason. If you are, you should opt for distilled water.Bottom line: It seems to be a solidly built, high-quality product and we’re happy with our choice.

It's perfect
The water line to our refrigerator was partially clogged and needed to be replaced. I was tired of standing at the fridge forever to fill a container. I didn't want to pay to have a new line run, so looked for alternatives. After hours of looking at products on Amazon, reading reviews, I stumbled on the CuZn filter. I'm all about quality and simplicity, low maintenance. Pay for quality once and then sit back and enjoy. These filters are big and heavy, nothing like the small, light-weight fridge filters. I ordered 2 filters, one for me and one for my son. Installation was simple and quick.Water has no flavor, very neutral. I occasionally fill my water bottle at a friend's house and now I notice the odd flavor it has. I still have a fridge filter for ice making, doesn't matter if it's slow. I fill my water bottle from the tap and add some ice cubes, quick and easy. In the summer months when there is no such thing as cold water from my tap here in Phoenix, I will keep a pitcher of water in the refrigerator.I buy only organic produce but still spray it with vinegar water and rinse before using. I like that I am now using filtered water to rinse before I eat. It seemed wasteful to use filtered water to do dishes, but the filter has made me even more aware of being conservative with water usage. I soak dishes before washing, don't leave the water running when I am washing, and use only what I need to do any clean-up. My son has 3 large dogs and he is pleased that they have filtered tap water for them. So much easier than the filtered pitcher that they were using and constantly refilling. We are thrilled with this good quality and simple water system. It's a winner for us.

My search is over.
I don't have a single bad thing to say about this filter. It's super well made, super easy to install and the water tastes as good as my old triple stage reverse osmosis unit. After a pretty exhaustive search, I don't think you can do better in this price range.Construction- Really well built. Heavy and sturdy. They did a great job. It looks like the person or people that made this really cared about the kind of water you are going to drink as opposed to how to cost effectively deliver a decent water filter. Still, at $119.00 this is great and in person, it looks/feels a lot more well built than it does online.Installation- First off I love how this can just stand in the corner and not get in the way of anything. I've tried a few other filters and they took more work to get them out of the way. The hose it came with didn't look cheap and matched the hose I already have that attaches to the faucet. Also where you mount the existing hose to the sink is built into the filter. So many other under the sink filters have another hose that connects with a male to male adapter. This reduces clutter and makes it really easy to install.Size- It's pretty big and it's a lot more filter than you would think when looking at the pics. Make sure you know how much room you have under your sink. Still, I had a lot of room left before it would hit the top. There is a lot of filtration going on.Water Flow- It's almost unnoticeable after it's installed. My wife or nanny didn't even notice the difference. I was really worried about an under the sink filter because I knew any good filter would probably not filter water as well if it had high flow. I tried some, like the Woder 10K and the Hansing 13k. They weren't bad but neither flowed like this. My main concern with the faucet was too much reduced cold water flow would cause the hot water to be too hot but this is really close.Water Taste- Not only does this flow well the water tastes really good. The place we moved to couldn't house our Reverse Osmosis unit so I had a lot of trouble finding something comparable. Luckily we now have much better water so I didn't need as much filtration to get the same taste. It blew away the Hansing 13K and is noticeably better than the Woder 10k. It also blew doors on some sink top filters I tried as well like the CleanWater4Less and Apex Countertop Waterfilter. The water is clean and crisp. Before this the water from the other filters didn't taste that great and sometimes made my stomach a little off. Nothing bad but just wasn't settled like it use to be. Now the Woder 10k wasn't bad and I could have probably lived with it but the CuZn was so much better. After being unsatisfied with all these highly rated countertop and under sink filters I finally found the right one. It tastes like bottled water and I'm so happy I took the time to write up this review. I feel like I owe it to this company for standing so far out above the competition. Hopefully, it will help others in a similar situation as myself. I'm buying their refrigerator line filter next and my incredibly frustrating search for a good water filter is finally over. Thanks CuZn and you make a really great product. I don't think there is a better under the sink filter in this price range or even a good bit higher that can do what the CuZn does.
