This is the best coffee maker I've ever owned, and I've owned a lot.
I purchased in 2023. Love it!Easy to use, makes a perfect cup of coffee. I don't use reusable filter, easier for me to use disposable. Love that it tells me when it needs cleaning. Also he heat plate is durable and does not rust like other makers. Great value for the money. Size is perfect for my counter space.

Its a great coffee maker, but don't expect it to be perfect!
Nothing wrong with this coffee maker, but it was designed for a low price point. I'm using with the very fine, easy to clean, metal filter. My recipe: I add 1 tsp. of ground turmeric and 1/4 tsp. of fine ground black pepper on top of my coffee in the basket, simple, but at 77 years old, I don't feel my aces & pains after drinking my morning coffee/turmeric tea mixture. I've been drinking my morning coffee this way for a couple years now and life has been worth living again that whole time!! I set this coffee maker on the "bold setting", extracts all the good stuff, and I get to use less coffee too! As others have said, the warming plate is quite hot, but on low setting I'm doing ok with that. I like that I can control the warming plate time, up to 4 hours, I just turn it off after I pour my last cup of coffee. Maybe after more time I will be dissatisfied with how it held up/maybe not, but at this price, it is doing everything I wanted, and I'm completely satisfied with it.

Makes great tasting coffee, but has lots of issues and broke in less than 3 weeks
I have really tried to love or even put up with this coffee maker because in my opinion, it has made the best tasting coffee from any coffee maker I have owned. It looks nice, has program features, warming time and temp controls. The good:1) It makes really good coffee. I have been using the same coffee brand for years and this coffee maker just makes it taste better for some reason. Maybe the water is hotter when it hits the grounds, allows the water to stay in the grounds longer, who knows... it just tastes better.2) It looks really nice.3) Warming temp and timer settings are really nice to have.4) Programming helps when you want it to be ready when you want it ready. The bad:1) The most annoying part of this is the carafe cannot be slid in without having to open the lid. There is a rubber piece above it (to prevent splashing?) that catches it each time. You have to fight with it to put in the carafe. If I had a full pot, it would likely spill out because you have to force it in. The only easy way to get it in is to lift the lid each time.2) So now you have to lift the lid each time to get the carafe in, but when you pull it out the stopper doesn't seal well enough so you always get many drips (especially if it's still brewing). Again, trying to like this coffee pot... I pull out the carafe, put down a paper towel so the drips don't continue to burn on the warmer, fill my cup, then open the lid to slid in the carafe.3) Not terrible, but annoying... the beeps when you turn it on / finishes cannot be turned off and they are kind of loud4) Like others have said.. the carafe is poorly designed. The plastic part makes it very easy to pour a cup of coffee, but it makes it very hard to clean the carafe and you cannot get all the water out because of it.5) Speaking of the carafe... not sure what it is about this one but it's very hard to clean. It's like the glass gets stained very easily and you have to scrub it, a lot, daily to keep it looking clear/clean... which isn't easy due to the plastic piece blocking part of the carafe opening.6) Whatever causes the coffee pot to actually brew never turns off. You will hear random gurgling sounds when condensation builds inside and drips back down into the water reservoir. The gurgling is pretty loud... I can hear it upstairs.7) And finally and most importanly... today while brweing, I heard a loud pop. The plastic around the warming plate cracked. I have used this less than 3 weeks. I have never had a coffee pot do this... even cheap $15 coffee makers never literally broke while brweing.So... if you can deal with the issues above... and if yours does not break... it does make great coffee. I am returning mine.

Hard to get water into the reservoir and ....
This coffee maker makes really bold, strong, hot coffee - and it looks beautiful on a countertop.I ordered this coffee maker after we stayed at an AirbNb and this was the coffee maker they had. The coffee was much better than what we made at home. It's replacing a Hamilton Bold brew coffee maker we currently have (we will donate it to charity); sharing that point in case you are shopping and comparing the two models. If bold, hot coffee is what you are after, then this is your coffee maker. I found it on sale - even better! The reusable coffee filter (cone) is really nice and very easy to clean - We reuse our coffee grinds for our garden and this is easy to dump into a small bucket. That and egg shells are awesome for gardens. Coffee grinds are not good for drains - so it's important not to wash the grinds down the sink - a little is ok - just not the whole thing. Paper coffee filters can be used with this machine and will filter out more of the coffee bean oils and bitter taste of coffee if that is a consideration for you.Another aspect of this coffee maker is the chord is about two feet long - this works well on my counter because the plug is so close but it might be a consideration for you. The instructions say an extension chord can be used. The other thing is the carafe for this coffee maker is HUGE - 14 cups is a lot of coffee and what's great is there is a 1-4 cup option on this coffee maker (same huge carafe though). This is not a common carafe and not sure how easy it will be to replace it if it breaks.... we are being oh so careful not to break it.One reason coffee stays warmer here than with other coffee makers is the carafe is tucked into the coffee maker to reduce the surface area exposed to cold.Anyway, a star was deducted because pouring water into the reservoir is not easy on a counter top (I am short and 14 cups of water is a lot to put into the narrow area) and cleaning the reservoir is not easy because it is narrow and space constrained... you will need a long, narrow scrubber brush to clean it - not included but available on Amazon (I bought one when I ordered the coffee maker).Enjoy and long live bold, hot coffee!

We love this coffee pot
I’m a little surprised by the reviews. I’ve had this coffee pot for almost two years and I love it. We accidentally broke the pot today so I was coming to see how to get the replacement.
