Excellent Practice Device
I have an injury to my right shoulder and I use this almost every day as an augmentation to actual serve practice in developing a left-handed serve while simultaneously rehabilitating my right-handed serve. It's a super way to develop, strengthen and maintain proper serve motion.

Good, however be careful......... these balls travel fast,,,,,,,,,
Good, however be careful......... have an instructor, pro server, or coach by your side for the first day. I had some bad muscle memory that is known as a leak that includes a slight wrist twist on take back. Not quite as bad as a waiters tray serve, but far from perfect. Now on the product. This contraption can be somewhat dangerous with its three balls headed straight to your face at times. Balls to your face is never really a good thing, just ask Paris Hilton. I almost quit in the first couple of minutes. However, I had a great server to help me. Yes, I know there is a grainy video that looks like it's from the 70's available, but an actual real person in real time helps immensely, not to mention saving your face, and other notable body parts from damage. I divided the lesson into three sections as recommended, and had it down in about 20 minutes to my surprise. If you saw me at first you would have said that I would never get it.It is helping my serve. If you can't do it, then you aren't serving correctly, so I was motivated by that alone. It's an eye opener. You might be surprised to know that nearly everyone on city, or school courts has a bad serve and waiter trays, or some sort of glitch. Yes, nearly everyone sucks. Only about five percent actually serve correctly. They think they are serving great, however they are not even close. They end up practicing a bad serve over, and over again until it's ingrained in their muscle memory, and they end up in real trouble. I see it all the time. They would be much better off not practicing at all. Perfect practice, makes perfect.

Not working for me
Tried for a while, I don’t think it is working to improve my serving .

Amazing and innovative product to simulate the proper feel of overheads/racquets.
This is an excellent innovation to improve the mechanics of your serve, letting you feel how the racquet is supposed to accelerate through the contact point and simulating the feeling of "letting the racquet do the work." Lisa has a number of videos on YouTube demonstrating the proper way to use the ServeMaster, not to mention how to serve in general. I highly recommend any serious practitioner of the game to have a look. I regularly hit with NTRP 4.5 and 5.0 level men's players and feel that the 3-ball ServeMaster is the right version for me. At 15 oz, it's also an awesome warm-up tool before swinging my usual racquet which weighs closer to 12 oz.

Possibly useful, but overpriced
One can probably get the same effect using three tennis balls in a long sock. This thing is heavier, and perhaps that's the best feature - definitely an incentive not to hit yourself with it! But really, $60 ?

Great for my 10 yo and 12 yo boys!
Both of my boys (12 yo and 10 yo) have struggled with generating power and hitting with proper form during their serves. With this and Lisa Dodson's free instructional video on youtube, I was able to get both of them to now backswing, trophy pose, behind head racquet bounce and strike with fluidity in less than 15 minutes! Over 3 more sessions using drills with the ServeMaster, then holding racquet with three fingers and progressing to full grip, they both have gained more confidence and consistency in their serves! Sure, I could've accomplished the same using the grocery bag technique and the cost would've been much less. But with this, they get to use a real tennis racquet grip which in turn helps them with the pronation after contact with the ball. I highly recommend using this if your junior players are struggling with their serves.

Bait and switch
The item seemed very well made and would last a long time if cared for according to the instructions. There was no assembly required as it is all one rubber piece.I cannot comment of whether or not it was fun to use because I didn’t bother to use the item.I didn’t use the item because the instructions on the inside of the package recommended that I purchase the instructional lessons for an additional $39I was surprised at this because I had already paid $50 for the item. I returned the item immediately and have no plans to purchase it again or would recommend this product to anyone else.

Very useful tool!
This is my second attempt to write a review for this product. The first time I tried to review it my review was surprisingly rejected. Maybe because I was trying to add a link to a video on how to use it properly. The product itself is very good but it has to be appropriately used so you don't smack yourself with it and injure yourself in the process. I have found it to really help my serve as it helps to loosen up the shoulder and get into a proper trophy position. I will probably go ahead and order the one with the 3 balls (the heavier product) as well now that I'm used to the lighter version. I would recommend you do a search on your own to view a demonstration on how it should be used. In the future I am going to refrain from providing any kind of reviews of products I buy on Amazon.
