Experiment for best results!
I have been using this protein powder for a month now and I must admit at first I wasn't a fan. Having read the reviews I was sceptical, but decided to give it a try. This is my first time trying protein powder. I was looking for a way to reduce calories but increase daily protein intake without using whey.I followed the instructions on the pack to the letter and found the same as others, it was watery, gritty and quite frankly off putting. Using a protein shake shaker or shaker of any kind does not work!So I experimented with milk instead of water both cows milk and plant based {oat and almond} and I experimented with how I prepared it (hand wisk and powered hand blender). For me the best combination was semi skimmed cows milk using an electric hand blender. I use 200ml of cows milk (instead of 175ml of water) and one scoop of powder and blend with the stick blender using the whisk attachment for 1 minute. It tripples in volume, becomes creamy and the flavour is there to taste.I have found that I have to chug it all or it does become gritty after a few minutes. This just means that breakfast is over and done with in less than 5 minutes.FYI check your pack for a scoop, mine had one but I didn't find it until 2 weeks after opening as it was buried down near the bottom. Easiest way is to check before opening by gently squeezing and feeling for a hard lump. That's the scoop!

Yummy & thick
This protein shake is soo nice, I've been mixing it with unsweetened soy milk & it's sweet, salty, thick & soo creamy. It's really cheap too just don't mix it with fruit or bananas like I did, it was tooth shatteringly sweet ! & I have a massive sweet tooth but even that was too far for me lol drink it plain it's lovely & fills you up.

Worth it
Taste not bad, very sweet and very good in fact for the money, low in calories for such high amount of protein. Am happy with this 🫡

Very artificial tasting and smelling, disappointing
Probably the most artificial tasting and smelling one. When mixing it into a shake it has this gritty texture and it’s the same when you mix it with yogurt. I feel heavily disappointed with how artificial the taste is, not to mention the smell instantly hitting you when you open the bag. Was hoping it would have a natural creamy strawberry flavour but sadly not. Will stick to vanilla Why did you choose this product over others?:Wanted to try another flavour

Vegan
It tastes better than any other protein shakes I’ve tried and has low carbs. I’ve mixed it with soya milk and water and both work but it mixes a bit better with water.

Artificial tasting
Protein shakes are not a naturally occurring whole food, I get that, so they're always going to taste a little bit synthetic. I tend to find though that the vegan versions taste a little bit less processed and artificial, although unfortunately the same cannot be said for this product. It blends reasonably well with water to create a smooth, if thin, shake. I find I have to add a bit of glucomannan/konjac powder just to thicken it. I haven't tried it with any kind of plant or dairy milk so can't comment on that - maybe it's better, who knows. It tastes.... OK. It's not terribly satisfying or moreish, but it's fine. It has a distinct flavour, although not of salted caramel particularly. If you ever had Angel Delight as a kid, it tastes a bit like the butterscotch flavour of that, but more artificial and slightly salty. You can also use it to create a protein dessert type thing by just adding less liquid and mixing. This has a really pleasing consistency, much like the aforementioned Angel Delight, and it kind of tastes like a blander, more synthetic, salted version of that I guess. Again, it's fine, but not delicious. I've also tried baking with it (to try and use it up, as I'm a bit sick of it as a shake) and the artificial taste again takes over, so not a huge success, but if you like the taste of the powder I guess it works well enough.I do like that this packs a lot of protein for the calories, and I like the fact they offer a flavour other than chocolate, which seems to be the main flavour for the vegan shakes. It does also blend well. Also it's good value when on offer and a bag lasts me a while. Unfortunately I won't be rushing to repurchase this unless I'm out of better options.
