Well dang, that worked
Follow the instructions and it will pump. I needed to pump in some 80W 90 front/rear differential gear oil in to my 02 Ford Ranger 4l v6. Took a second to get going but once it did. It was on a minute or two to fill it all the way up. Make sure the hose is not at the bottom of the side wall or it will be hard to suck the oil through.

This is great!
This pump is great! I've used it to pump water only so far and I ended up using a different set of rubber hoses (only because I had them) rather than the ones included. Those were somewhat flimsy but worked. Aside from that, I'd buy it again.

It has siphon prowess
It saves so much time and mess. No more need for troublesome plugs. This bugger cleans out the sump easily and allows the car quick transfer of oil. Gotta love the simplicity! So easily carried , lightweight,a nd I am sure it will last a while if you clean it after use

Works well when new but the pump locks up solid if it remains unused for months after siphoning gas.
This is a good product when it's new. The price is right and it works well to begin with. But I've ultimately had to throw away more than one for my use case.I have a gas-fueled generator and have to fully drain the generator's 6-gallon tank when rotating to fresh, stabilized, ethanol-free gas. I use this to get the siphon going to transfer the generator gas to jerry cans to be used in our cars . But that's my only use for this product so it then sits unused for 7 to 9 months before it's time to rotate fuel again. (The fuel is stabilized to remain viable for up to 12 months). When I try to re-use the siphon after that long a period of non-use, the pump has locked up solid and will no longer work. I've tried flushing water through this immediately after completing the gas rotation but that didn't help. It's still worth having; just buy more than one if you don't use it often enough to keep it working freely.

Almost Useless
The orange tubes are total junk, full of kinks and curls which make this very difficult to use. Hard to keep the draw in the fluid you’re pulling. Challenging to keep the output in the can without it springing out and flinging gas everywhere. Threw mine in the garbage

What does a girl know?
Hahaha! It worked! Had to pump over 5 gal of gas out of my jetski. Same thing last year, my buddy had to partially dismantle the ski to get the gas out. Bends in the tubing where the gas goes into the tank prevented him from going directly in where the gas goes into the ski....Hmmm, so I ordered this for 2019. 2 bends in that jet ski tubing, but the flexible hose on this went right into that tank! No dismantling this year. And just like the directions said, after 4-5 pumps, the gas flowed on its own! (you bet I took a pic and sent it to my buddy!). Cleaned it up with soap and water. It does advise to oil the canister after use, and my mechanic buddy says to absolutely do that. So thanks for helping me prove a mechanic wrong!

Did the job
I used this to pump out a tank of water treatment solution. It worked well. It’s made of inexpensive materials so I doubt it will last forever, but it solved my problem cheaply and effectively

Harbor Freight is 1/2 the price for same
Walked into my local Harbor Freight to find the same exact item for around $8 vs the $15 purchased on Amazon. The pump is great so far to transfer chemicals from large totes to one gallon jugs. Keep the pump handle stem lubricated regularly (they recommend lubricating oil). Few drops every few uses. The hoses will crimp pretty easy also so may consider transferring to a larger carrying compartment
