Know what your doing, it's important. (Read for instructions)
I bought a used MacBook Pro and the keys were being weird so I gave this kit a shot and it works great! The keys feel like they are good quality just like the original ones except they are more matte so if you intend on replacing just one it may bother you that it's a slightly different color. My note is to watch a few videos and tutorials before attempting and make sure you have the right tools. I used an IFIXIT triangular pick and along with the PLASTIC prying tool. ONLY USE PLASTIC TOOLS, you may damage something if using metal. To properly take off the old key gently pry from the top and sides of the key to free the butterfly mechanism then lift the top of the key up the gently pull. MAKE SURE YOUR PICK IS UNDER THE KEY ITSELF NOT THE BUTTERFLY MECHANISM! Note: If the key doesn't easily come off when lifting try repositioning. BE VERY CAREFUL the butterfly mechanism is very fragile and doing this incorrectly could break it. To install new key: you will see one side has hooks and the other clips. The process of putting the new key on is essentially the reverse of taking it off. First, put the key in with the top of the key up (not flat on the keyboard, towards the sky) making sure the hooks are on the bottom pegs of the butterfly mechanism. Then carefully lower the key down flat so it sits in the socket and carefully run your finger around the sides and back until you hear clicks, that means the key is in place. After all that, test the key and see how it feels. If it doesn't feel right try it again. WATCH A FEW VIDEOS BEFORE ATTEMPTING there are a lot out there and I cannot express this enough. I also highly recommend NOT doing the space bar, it's harder than the other keys.

Keycaps QWERTY are fenomenal
They fit as expected. Our investment was worth many times over. We had gotten an estimate from a well-known local repair firm for over $300, crazy. Our MacBook is once again almost brand-new. Thanks!

Terrible quality and packaging
Terrible quality and packaging. These came in a ziplock bag and a box, no tools, keycaps were literally skewed and considered how terribly fragile these clips are and why they have to be replace so many times, I would think they would package these more carefully. Will be returning

Nice, but should have ordered 1708 keys
These keys feel nice, and just like the original keys. The first picture has only the original keys in with the new keys underneath and the second picture has the new command key in place, looks the same, feels the same.I originally ordered because I thought I broke my space bar when cleaning. I figured out how to fix it after ordering but accidentally, stupidly lost one of my volume buttons down the sink when cleaning them. I thought I would just keep the order and get the missing key from it but should have double checked what keys come with the kit. It has everything but the half-sized keys at the top of my keyboard so I will have to order a set actually meant for my type of mac.

Doesn’t match existing keys
It doesn’t work to just replace one key the color is off- it’s a matte lighter black than the actual MacBook and the letter isn’t white it’s like a see through clear so it lights up which just looks bad to have one key light up. If you were to replace your entire keyboard you could buy this but otherwise it looks off

Good as New!
Because of COVID-19, the apple store where I live is still closed. One of my keyboard keys popped off and I was told by Apple that they would have to replace the whole keyboard for $400+. I thought that was ridiculous since it was only the keycap that was damaged, not the actual "key" if that makes sense. I found these keycaps on Amazon, they got here super quick and was easy to put on. Highly recommend!

Not quite the same...
I had an "F" key that was loose on my A1708. This seemed like a quick replacement. It went on pretty well and feels quite secure, but it feels a little lower and doesn't have as much movement downward. It might be because the others are worn out and all should be replaced... Works fine for the time being.

Excellent keys, doesn't come with install tool
Bought my MacBook refurbished so some of the keys were worn. I purchased this kit to replace all the keys on the keyboard. With all tutorials I found online, most kits come with a tool. This is not one of them.Pros: Key quality is superior with great texture, no noticeable difference from original keys.Cons: Kit doesn't come with install tool. Very difficult to find tool that will fit under the key. Definitely recommend including tool.
