Robust Waterproof Golf Boots
Needed these for the coming winter as my 2year old golf shoes are starting to leak. The boots are big change from the normal golf shoes being more like a hiking boot in style but are very solidly made and will take anything that the winter will throw at them. We play golf through any weather in winter, lashing rain, frozen ground and even light snow on occasion so these are man enough for the job. They were initially tight around the ankles, but with wear quickly eased off and are comfortable to wear. The sizes I found are on the low side of the stated values. I take a nine and a half shoe but went for the ten in these but found that my feet are snug in them so if you are real ten you might find them a little on the tight side. Maybe go up a size to get best fit. Take standard screw-in grippers and spikes no problem.

Comfortable and good value but the waterproofing didn’t last.
I bought these boots in September 2022 in anticipation of playing winter golf. The fact that they were advertised as ‘Waterproof’ (not water resistant) was a big selling point. They were a very good price compared to other brands and I didn’t expect much for the price. However, they were a good fit, very comfortable and easy to keep clean. Although I didn’t polish them after every round, I did look after them, cleaning them regularly and giving the uppers a polish. They lasted through the winter and did not leak.In the spring I put them away as I had a nice pair of Stuburt shoes, bought on the strength of the boots, which were also comfortable.I stored them at home indoors in the dry so October 2023 I started wearing them again expecting them to be still good. After all they had only been worn for six months. Sadly after a full 18 holes, although it wasn’t raining, the damp grass had managed to penetrate the boots and they started to leak. I tried polishing them and spraying them with waterproof spray, but once again today I ended up with a wet sock!! Shame really I liked them but for winter playing they have to be waterproof and really, after only 6 months of wear, I am disappointed. I notice now though that the same boots this year are £66, that’s about a 60% increase. Whilst these are still good value at that price, I’m not prepared to buy them again if they’re only going to stay waterproof for 6 months.
