this is a wonderful product - little drizzle over tofu and rice and i am very happy!

It's not quite what I was expecting, but it does have a nice spice to it. The added Shiso has a nice balance to it, starting off somewhat hot then it becomes mild with a touch of sweet from the Shiso and fruit. It goes great with chicken and I plan on adding it to onigiri.The plastic wrap on the bottle took a bit of work to remove though as the plastic bottle feels kinda flimsy and I was afraid to puncture the bottle.

If you like umeboshi, you'll probably like this. Umeboshi is usually eaten with steamed rice. The squeeze tube paste makes it easier to apply to nigiri (rice balls) and even sushi.If you're not familiar with umeboshi, it's much more sour than it is sweet.

Lip-smacking good! I got the version without shiso also, but this one with shiso is so much better. Delicious!

This is an adequate sauce, but it's not exceptional. I've had similar sauces where the flavors of the shiso and the preserved plums were distinct and vibrant, and while the sauce was salty, other flavors didn't get lost in that saltiness. That was what I was expecting and I'm sorry to say I was disappointed.

I have purchased this a few times now, and I like the ease of a squeeze bottle. It's always fresh and taste is good everytime I've purchased it. It's easier than chopping up plums.
