Gave me nightmares, let's hope it scares the real Herons away.
After suffering 2 pond attacks, one from an Otter taking all 11 shebumpkins & last week the pesky Heron having a go at my new Butterfly Koi avoiding new security measures, this was my last line of defence. To stop the Otter i have installed an Electric fence and PIR lighting. Looks like a night game of football at Wembley now. Installed 2 automatic water jets to provide cross fire across the battle field. Haven't seen the Otter but i was then horrified to catch on camera the pesky Heron. it was a 30min stalk and attack. The water jets worked 3 times scaring him off. He then worked out the pattern and ducked under them, hopped onto the edge. It was amusing watching him get a belt from the Otter wire. Every pulse of the electric fence made his wings flap.......Sadly because he was not earthed properly the belts were moderate to weak. ( think of a bird on power lines ) for this to have best effect you need to be grounded to get a big belt. However the Otter is going to get what for. I watched how he operated and progressed to the next step. Now installed the bird spikes on the edge so no more hopping on the edge and now have the Kardashian sisters keeping watch. Hopefully they will scare any future wildlife away, certainly made me jump after going out the back door at dusk after having a bottle of wine!I would say they are expensive for what they are, but if they save my fish from being nabbed then they have paid for themselves already. A little bit light so will need a weight to hold them down in wind, but as you can see they look like the beast as shown. Fast delivery from Amazon prime.

Nice enough ornaments but real herons weren’t bothered by them at all so hasn’t helped save the fish
