Panasonic DECT 6.0 Expandable Cordless Phone with Answering Machine and Call Block and Caller ID - 2 Cordless Handsets - KX-TGC222S (Silver)

I was going to replace the battery on my old cordless. But with shipping it was going to run about $13. I wasn't sure if the battery would be old or new since this handset was more than 10 years old. So after some research found this at a used price from Amazon. For around $25 I got 2 handsets with batteries that last about 6-7 days. The old one barely lasted a day. The base is a little smaller than the old one I had. There's no way to increase the volume on the recorded messages. It sounds a bit low. There's also no beeping sound to alert you that there's a recorded message. There's a text message on the phone screens. You can listen to the messages on the handsets. A lot of features. Scam call blocking. Noticed less robo calls after installing this. Great phone so far. A great value with a lot of features.

Replaced same brand, 13 years after first ond.

I am so far happy with this phone. I replaced a 3 handset V-Tech with this. Features are the same. Hook up was fairly easy. Just have to put in supplied batteries , charge for 7 hrs., set time date etc. I like that I can hear a message on either handsets while the person is leaving a message. I can also turn that feature off. I love that it has a call block feature for 30 numbers. (must be a caller I.D. subscriber) I get many telemarketing calls. The ringtones are nice and i can even turn off ringer on either handset. (I have 1 in my bedroom) I like the toll saver also so I can retrieve messages while I'm out , and it will answer on 2nd ring if there are new messages. It also has intercom to talk from the 2 phones. I do have to get used to the codes needed to retrieve, erase etc. when I am not home. Overall, not bad for the price.

Not crazy about this 2 Set of phones.When you Program it to BLOCK a call--it allows phone to ring anyways! That's not how it's supposed to be! Really!And: don't announce who is calling (my past phones have always done that😠). Plus:: they don't Flash nor Beep at all when you've gotten a message left on them.Far as Readability, seems fine. Clarity: not so much (I do have hearing aids that I don't always wear--could be that?)The handsets are smaller than normal, but that's ok with me.

The ringer is kind of loud. Guess I will be able to figure that out.What surprised me was the weight of the handset. It's really light. Feels kind of "floaty" in my hand. I love it. So easy to carry around in my pocket. My house is huge and sometimes I'm out in the garden and can't hear the phone ring. This handset is so easy to cart around.I have no idea what the "Lock" feature is all about. We got this because our answering machine (part of the fax/copier) died and we needed an answering machine. It will now replace our old cordless unit.Highly recommend. Good sound quality. Nice that it come with batteries for both handsets.

The phone sounds very clear and works as telephone, but that's about all the good things.Cons:-The backlight for keys is extremely dim, and is an ugly "cigarette smoke" yellow color.-The silent function doesn't work properly. You can set it to be silent between 10pm - 8am and it will stay silent 24/7. There is no other way to quiet the phone other than going through 4-5 menus.-Like most landline phones, these phones are designed like giant Tylenol pills and are slippery as hell, very easy to drop.-The max volume isn't very loud, you have to press the phone against your face just to hear clearly. The shape isn't very comfortable on the face either.-The batteries seem to lose their charge pretty quick, my last set of cheap ATT phones lasted 2x as long.-The front panel has so many icons on it, you can barely tell when you have a new message. That, or a message covers the entire screen.-Cannot change how the front screen looks, huge clock, etc.-When checking the missed-calls log, you have to hit down to show it, then it shows the name, then you have to hit right just to see the number that called. Again, pointlessly forcing us to hit multiple buttons for something that should be quick and easy.-When punching in a number and hitting 'call', the phone dials the numbers very slowly.-'Phonebook' feature is very annoying, there are 4-5 hotkeys to get to it from multiple menus, yet is the last thing I ever want to use.-The buttons are very small and oddly shaped. Not comfortable at all with its 'pill' shape.-When someone leaves a message it plays through all receivers and only way to mute it is to turn the volume down, which has to be turned back up later.-No option to delete a voicemail, you have to go through several menus to delete them.-The caller ID is cut off because of the huge font on screen that can't be changed.-The caller ID and previous call log shows the caller's name first, and you have to hit Right Arrow to see the number, each and every time.

I love it
