I haven't tried it yet but I am thrilled to see how dark it is! I don't want to open it since I still have an open bottle but it looks so tempting! I may have to do a tasting tomorrow with homemade, from real ingredients, waffles.

Flavor is less musty more sweet. I like a medium amber, dark amber is just turns to be too musty tasting which is a real turn off to most syrup buyers. Taste like maple without being overpowering. Really tasty! Half gallon last family of 3 about a year. Wisconsin has great maples, nice cold winters and the sap is really great there.
