Good quality for a circulated coin of this age.
I wasn't sure in what condition a coin this old would be but was pleasantly surprised that it is in good condition. It's a keepsake I got while I'm playing Churchill in the play The Audience and will be a treasured memory.

Wonderful gifts
Having grown up in England during World War II, Winston Churchill was a part of my heritage and being able to give some of the elderly Americans friends I've made that grew up in the same era, a Winston Churchill commemorative coin issued in 1965 is a great gift. It's a reminder of the World War II days when the both America and Britain forgot their past differences and worked in the best interest of all nations.Thanks,Mr. C. Robin Dean.

The real deal.

Badly worn
This coin is so badly worn that one can barely see the image of Churchill. Not only that, but the first h in his last name has a dent in it and is pitted.Waste of time and waste of money.

1965 was a good year...
with among other notable events, the minting of the extra-ordinary Churchill Crown. One side with the lovely 'young head' Queen portrait, and the other with a portrait of Churchill himself of such a design that it leaves one speechless. As in, without words. As in, words fail me in my attempt to describe said design. A design that stands alone in it's eye appeal.Of course true numismatic worth depends on the scarcity, desirability and condition of a coin...I wonder what of these is being reflected in the one cent price? (Though with shipping and the vendor du jour I noted the final cost would be $5, delivered).Truly a must have crown for the discerning world coin collector...Though my more serious recommendation before buying coins on-line is to have a clear idea of value, quality, and vendor reputation as well as awareness of return policies that may be in effect. Truly one can, apparently, buy just about anything on Amazon! (and if Ammy doesn't have it, try eBay).JTG

Finally!
I was so pleased to see that Carroll O'Connor was finally being recognized for his years playing Archie Bunker on All in the Family, and to a lesser extent, Archie Bunker's Place. The fact that it was the United Kingdom that gave great honor to this Golden Globe and Emmy-winning actor is beyond me, but it has certainly raised that country in my esteem. Stifle!
