We previously had the Summer Infant DuoMat seat protectors for our Chicco infant carseat. When we had to move up in carseat size, we discovered those mats weren't compatible with our Diono Radian because the fabric connecting the two portions of the mat were too wide for the feet of the detachable base when the Diono Radian is installed rear-facing. It turns our this was a blessing in disguise because the Diono Ultra Mat is a superior product. The material isn't as cheap feeling, it secures to the seat much more easily (I'm talking about that weighted portion that you jam between the seat) and -- best of all -- there is an adjustable strap that secures the mat to the seat headrest, thereby preventing the mat from slipping down (and protecting our seats from energetic, kicking baby feet). The top portion of the Summer Infant DuoMat never stayed up so my son's shoes could touch the seat. Like the Summer Infant DuoMat, the Diono Ultra Mat also has a little mesh bag that hangs below the car seat. We don't store anything in it but the Diono mesh bag does seem bigger than the Summer Infant one.I wish we would have bought the Diono Ultra Mat initially.

This is such a great protector! My daughter has previously purchased two of these Diono seat protectors for her two boys to protect the backseat and absolutely loves them, so I wanted to get one for each of our vehicles too. It feels so sturdy and durable, very well made. And has grip on the back so it doesn't slip and move, also easy to install. My grandson's booster seat sits perfectly on it.

We had a britax car seat cover which because of the way the diono car seat is made will not work. So the diono mat it is.I like this better than the britax. The non slip backing is better, the upper material seems better. I like that it has smaller storage pockets.The big plus over the britax, the britax is almost hard. It is a thicker material and while you might think that it will protect the car better, if you have anyone sit in the back seat with your baby/child getting to that other seatbelt latch may be a pain. As you have to try and lify up the corner of the stiff protector. This protector is more pliable, so you can easily lift up on the material to get to the seat belt latch.

Installed this to prevent extra wear & tear on my trucks rear seats, not just from work activity but from my sons car seat. Works great, very durable, easy to install, and looks nice too. Def worth the purchase.

So far, so good. We're using this in the middle, back seat for our rear-facing infant seat. It fits our vehicle well (Honda Pilot) and does not interfere with our car seat (Britax B Safe). We have the latch system in the vehicle and once you really tighten the tethers, the car seat will not move even with this protector. It hasn't melted like some of the other protectors I've read about (and it's in 100+ weather, all day in the sun).***Update***I just sold my old Pilot and got a new one. When I transferred the mat, that was the first time I got a chance to see if there were any other marks and there was nothing. (This was on gray, leather seats). There weren't any dents, either- though if that had happened, I wouldn't have faulted the map, anyway. I've realized, though, that this has become a must-have for me. As my child grows and gets heavier, I can see that the chair base would probably start leaving marks on the seats. And as she starts messing around with food in the car, I'll probably buy another Diono that will cover a bit more area.

This is actually our second one- cause we’re about to have another baby. When I tell you these things save your seats- believe me. Waterproof is great and all- these are. But these have saved the leather seats in my Subaru from the dents and cracks of having a car seat in the back full time.When they get dirty I throw the whole thing in the wash and it looks brand new again. I’m so glad to have been purchasing these from yall since the beginning! My oldest is almost three so that’s how long the first one has lasted and it’s still going!

The Diono Seat Protectors are a great buy! My daughter suggested I get them for my new cream color car interior. She has them in her car, and said that they are great way to protect the back seats of the car from getting marred by child-car-seats and to keep the leather upholstery clean. I agree. They are easy to "install" and remove. There is a small strap that goes around the back of the backseat headrest to help keep them in place, plus a small "tab" that slides behind the car seat to keep the seat cushion stationary. The Protectors are cushioned a bit ( not bulky), to prevent the child car seats from leaving an imprint in the leather. They are a mesh-like fabric, so if food or drink were to spill, it seems that they would be easy to clean ( has not happened to us yet.....). We live in a climate where we get winter snow. But as the kids get in and out of the car with their dirty boots, they can step on these protectors rather than the leather seats when they get themselves into their car seats. What is not to like? Who doesn't want to protect the back seat of the car from getting marred and soiled. These Protectors are definitely a good buy!
