Fine Nuremberg Gingerbread (Oblaten-Lebkuchen) Cookies

Great gingery flavor

Absolutely delicious. Perfect holiday treat for oneself and guests. Not easy to find these other than on Amazon.

Nuremberg is famous for its ginger bread cookies and these did not disappoint me. I first tried some in Bravia and I enjoyed it very much. Although this isn’t exactly like what I tasted in Germany I still found these to be excellent cookies. (I guess the recipes vary slightly depending on the bakery.)

We just received these cookies. On the Amazon website this package appears to be a huge package. No so at all. Only 6 cookies that i paid $15 for. Eating these cookies at $2.5 a cookie is bound to give me perpetual digestion. Just for the principle of it, being deceived by the photo, I will trash them. Check my picture right in front of a small orange and see for yourself how little this package is, and compare this picture what you see on Amazon website.

I used to buy these when I lived in Germany oh so many years ago. These lebkuchen are absolutely the best!

I’ve had these cookies before and they were amazingly delicious , but the ones that arrive today are a bit dry. And most definitely extremely over priced! I won’t buy from this vendor again. I’ll try to find the German maker and buy direct.
