Makes trim so easy!
The corner blocks look nice and were easy to paint. It made putting up crown molding so much easier. I don’t think I’ll ever go back to miter cuts.

I didn't realize it was some sort of heavy foam ...
I didn't realize it was some sort of heavy foam. Still it took paint well and I was anole to use a finish nailer to mount it. Made the crown mounding look fancier and way easier to install.

Great price but buy an extra to test
First of all, these pieces are beautiful when installed right and and are very cost effective for that vintage look.I’m far from a contractor, I ended up looking for corner boxes because mitering 45 degree crown moulding in any acceptable fashion was beyond my skill set.So these pieces are some kind of moulded resin. I ultimately found the best way to mount them was to pre drill holes into the corners hidden by the adjoining moulding, with the holes aimed towards the ceiling corner. Then I counter sunk the hole, and construction screwed the piece into place.Nailing these in by hand is a recipe for disaster unless you know what you’re doing (again, clearly I don’t). Also, Gluing without something keeping the piece in place won’t work. I butchered three of these trying to figure out how to get them to stay in place. If you have a nailer I imagine this project is less complicated. All that said, it was still less expensive than the alternative and I’d buy them again, mistakes and all. Just buy one or two extra, and you’ll be good.
