Not made for ryobi 18v drill
Had to rewire the battery contacts to work in my 18v ryobi drill. Didn't really fit right but made it work. The trigger itself works as it should.

I can’t believe it worked!!!
My friend gave me a hand hatchet to fix. The problem was the trigger switch burned up because the blade got gummed up and overloaded the switch. This was a 24 volt CHA-NA Bush saw. I was skeptical I would not be able to find a part for it. This switch worked perfectly. I used heat shrink connectors to splice it in place of the original switch. There is an LED on it it which it really bright. The original switch did not have an LED so I left it in the body of the tool. It works great and lights up the handle when you use it, but I figured I wasn’t going to make a hole in the handle for water to leak in, just to accommodate a light. This switch works great. No problems at all.

Generic drill switch, saved a great working drill
This switch is not as heavy duty as the original but does the job with a few modifications. 1) took the heat sync plate off the original swith and replaced the the thin small one on this switch, 2) put it together several times because I couldn't get the trigger or direction button to move. I finally realized that when the drill was put together completely the trigger slot on the drill had a small ridge as a trigger stop. the original trigger was slight shorter, so I shaved it down so the new trigger works great. My drill didn't have a light but I drilled a tiny hole at the bottom of the handle, now I have a light! One last thing you will need to do some soldering or use small wire connectors and the wires on this trigger are much smaller than what came on the drill! This is a major issue if you plan on using it for long hard drilling! I have other drills, I can use for that purpose.

Likely needs modified
I replaced the switch on a 20V BlackNDecker Matrix. It did not fit. I had to pry off and swap the trigger from original. Then had to cut off some material for forward/reverse switch. Modified wiring. Once together trigger stuck on every time. Had to pull it back. Made tiny adjustments and lubricated. Trigger now slowly returns to off. Slowly. Had 2 of same unit needing trigger. Bought another brand that has same picture in add. It was different though. Tried to modify. More extensive. Once together trigger does not work. So even though I rate this 3 stars, I am about to buy another one after seeing an alternative.

1 of 2 Failed
Lasted less than a day and only works on/off - No variable speed. Way too late to return so I’m back to square one
