Great for a small table
This is a fairly sturdy table base. Assembly is easy. The black metal will go with any décor. The only problem would be attaching a top which is too large. This would make the entire table prone to tip easily. So, I would recommend a 24-inch size as maximum. We used a round maple cookie from a tree in our yard, stained and lacquered it, and it is beautiful.

All Lies
Images are a lie. All images show that the post is one solid piece. This is not the case. the post is split in two with large bolts in the middle. In addition, product feels super cheap and as if it would not be stable.

Sturdy base
I turned some old wood into the table top and it works great. Sturdy and well made.

Nice but doesn’t stay tight
I wanted to love it, but there is only one center screw that attaches the top piece to the bottom piece, and you have to get to it by taking allllll of the base table top screws off. This is a pain because that joint gets very loose, have righted it several times since I bought it this past winter

Perfect for table projects
well-made and was easy to put together with my wooden top. Heavy enough to stay in place and not fall over.

Good quality...a little light
No instructions in box but easy to figure out. Good quality. My only complaint is it's a little light so not real stable unless you plan on a small round table (24" diameter max). I used a 36"X24" wood top. Just can't push myself up from the long end or table will tilt. Once you get used to it, no problem. I'm going to buy a 45 pound gym weight and epoxy to the bottom of the base (will fit perfectly inside base)...no way it will tip then;) I probably should have bought a heavier version. But again, overall quality is very good. For those DYI folks remember physics, physics, physics.

Not sturdy
Table top was added and the table always tipped over so I had to return the base
