Simple and accurate
I purchased this unit after my HBP diagnosis a couple years ago. It is very simple to use and I take it along to my doctor appointment about every six months to compare, and it has always been within a few points of matching the reading the nurse takes. It reads your pulse and checks for irregular heartbeat as well. I check my BP daily and battery life is excellent. It is a great tool to see how different diet and exercise can affect your blood pressure.

Updates Are Nice And It Seems Accurate
I have been using the Omron 10 Series BP785N for the last five years or so. Lately, it would occasionally error out and sometimes it would act funny, so I was not sure I could trust the results. The price for this unit was a lot cheaper than the comparable unit I bought in 2018. Plus, the BP7450 includes Bluetooth. So, that was a nice plus.First I tested them side by side, doing a "TruRead" 3 time Average with both units, the Systolic was off by 1 and the Diastolic was exact. So, based on that reading, I feel comfortable using both of them. Since I can still use my old one, I have decided to keep my manual log along with the Bluetooth updates, running my BP in two locations.I have used other cheaper BP monitors that offer Bluetooth and they did not work all that well. I find that the BP7450 does an excellent job with the Omron Connect Android App. It is very simple to use and has fingerprint support. My current procedure is to take my BP, leave the BP Monitor on, open the Omron Connect App, and synchronize it with my phone. (For some reason, Omron forces you to use location services in order to update readings, so I temporarily turn that on, get my reading, and turn it off. I don't like being tracked by Google.)The app shows my goal as being 135/80 while the BP monitor expects you to be below 120/80. My old BP monitor also reads over 135/80 as being high. My BP is never going to be below 120/80 unless I'm reading it after an hour long workout. It can be a bit depressing being told your BP is high every day.I think that should/could be an adjustable setting. But, that is a minor nit.Another plus is that the power plug and the Arm Cuff are interchangeable with my BP785N. The "air plug" is a little different, but I could swap it out if needed.Overall, I think this is a great product. I think it is worth the extra to get an upper cuff unit, and at this price, it is not much more than a wrist cuff unit.

To sync data with bluetooth
The device works great but the documentation is not very clear on the manual transfer of data with the iPhone app. It works for me with the following easy steps:1. In the iPhone OMRON app, go to the Dashboard tab at the bottom left. Then click the Sync button at the top right. This will put it in sync mode.2. With OMRON OFF (that is important), press once on the Bluetooth button in the back of the device. This will put the device in sync mode. The device has 0 0 flashing indicating it is syncing. (The order of step 1 and step 2 does not matter. )3. When the sync is done, OMRON will show another o o and OK and the app will have updated data. All the data in the units that were not sync before will be synced now.To sync automatically:1. open the iPhone app first before turn on the unit.2. do the blood pressure test.3. Wait for a few seconds after all readings are displayed, it will be sync automatically right away.If you open the app AFTER the blood pressure test but the display is still on, then you just press the bluetooth button in the back of the unit, it will be sync. If the display is off or you are reviewing pass data, then use the previous method to sync.So far, with batteries only and with the above methods, I always got sycn immediately. One time I did not get sync was I removed one battery and use AC only, that reading did not get sync. I did not play with it further with AC mode since I use battery only most of the time.I will be good if the software allow sync no matter under what condition automatically or when the blue tooth button is pressed. But to me, it is easy enough as of now.
