FYLO - Extendable Fireguard Folding Safety Guard Folding Fireplace Cover

Really easy to assemble fire guard, quite sturdy but has to be secured to the wall for safety. As fire guards go, this represents value for money. It is adjustable length wise but the depth is set which wasn't a problem for me but could be for others. Folds flat when taken down too.

The product arrived in good time and well packaged all in good condition. It took about 10 minutes to assemble the fire guard, the size is adjustable to fit the exact requirement for hearth size. Some of the fittings were a bit fiddly but no major issues. Probably easier with two people. I had not yet fitted the wall anchors and out wee one pulled the guard over very easily (luckily I was there to catch it). The guard is too heavy and the wall anchors are a MUST if intended to be used around children. I doubt pets would pull it over. The wall anchors supplied were easily fitted, they are very simple metal clips which clip onto the bars. When fire guard is not in use they hang from the walls and look a little odd. However they are required for safety and do the job of keeping the guard from falling. The guard can get a little hot from the fire but nothing like the temperature of the wood burner itself. A worthwhile purchase and a good quality product. I would recommend.

I bought it too surround my wood burning stove to stop my new puppy burning himself by getting too close. For that it works well and would recommend it as a solution. It's a shame they're not a little more elegant as doesn't look great in the room, but function wise it does the job.I did find it difficult to put together on my own. There isn't much to it so you'd think it would be easy, but I found it really hard to like the clips up and screw into place. Got there in the end obviously but ideally needs someone to hold them together while the other person screws them in!Overall would recommend as a fairly cheap and easy solution to keeping dogs, babies etc safe from hot stoves and fires.

Very sturdy and easy to assemble. Perfect for keeping our grandson from the stove.

Guard itself seems sturdy enough. The fixing brackets and screws are like chocolate and round off really easily and the holes for the brackets dont align. Ended up buying replacements from the local hardware store. For the price it's good.

I loved this fireguard once it was build.It looks really well and it's perfect to keep our little granddaughter safe.Not all the screws worked so we had to use small black cable ties in through clip.You can see it in the second photo.The third photo shows the clip with the screw that worked.
