Arrived uncontaminated | turned into great grain spawn
The contents were a little too moist, and there was evidence of heat damage to the back of bag, so when it took a while for my spores to start taking over I got worried. But after 3-4 weeks it started showing signs of mycelium growth and eventually became 3lbs of great grain spawn that I'm using to run quite a few mycology projects.Don't have materials to make my own sterilized grain jars yet, so Im happy that this was a good working and convenient option <3

DO NOT BUY THESE SPAWN BAGS
Bag was contaminated, molded. Also too wet.Update: I decided to let it go a few weeks to see what happened. These bags are great at growing mould. Garbage for actually growing mushroomS.

Grain spawn contamination
On two occasions the grain that was innoculated became infected with foreign pathogens that ruined the whole investment. I have not had that issue with grain bags from any other provider except this one.

Moisture content a bit too high
When I received my package it was actually a little too wet. There was some moisture pooling. Not a terrible amount, but enough to have an effect on the end result. My bag ended up rotting away on me unfortunately.

Won't purchase again
Upon injection the port didn't seal all the way. But I didn't know this until a few days later when I checked. Mycelium started to grow then stopped. Picked up bag and quite a bit of air had managed to get in the bag, when I squeezed the bag it emitted air. Mycelium has now been taken over by a blue green mold have no idea how that was introduced. Everything was done in a still air box, with a sterile environment and a red hot sterilized needle. I've used other grain bags and injection ports with no issue. Will stick to making my own grain spawn and substrate.

Takes forever to inoculate.
It's been almost a month of inoculation and I'm just starting to see signs of growth. It seems pretty rapid once it took off (It just took forever to start off.) Once I spawn to bulk and see how well the grain does, I might change the rating to a higher rating.

Contamination
I was super excited receiving this product but then when I opened it it was covered with green mold. Would appreciate if I could get a refund or a new product sent to me please.
