I got some old weights from my sister and they were missing the grip. I saw these online. I was a bit apprehensive because they came in 3 sizes and I didn't know if I would get the right size. They are a perfect fit. My bar is a thread bar and it said someone this product is not suitable for thread bars, but I took the gamble. It grips the bar brilliantly. Now I can work out safely. One added bonus is that the supplier dispatched them the same day (despite there being a global crisis) and they arrived ahead of schedule through the regular post. I am really happy with this product. Now to build big biceps :))

Clips adequate fits the purpose

They fit fine on a 1-inch diameter dumbbell, just have to squeeze the handle quite hard. Overall clips might be smaller in size than you are expecting, but they fit which is all that matters.

Awesome value for money

Positives- Product fits as expected. Not too resistant so easy to clamp and fit to the bar. Negatives- The plastic handle slips off quite easily when gripped, which is a problem when frequently needing to take the plates off and on the bar. The product is competitively priced in mind of the hike in personal fitness equipment, but overpriced nonetheless.

Chose because photos showed it on both threaded and plain bar ends with three loops of steel so a decent gripping area. Bought the 25mm version (I have 25mm bars) but it is too tight to get on my plain bar and has no grip at all on my threaded bar as it slips between the threads. Photos show three 'loops' of steel but these only had two and relatively thin steel so a much smaller gripping surface. Also physically much smaller than other spring clamps that came with the quality plain bar and difficult to squeeze to get it open. I bought these because they were cheap and might not have been rubbish. Was right about the cheap but wrong about the rubbish. I have no idea how they got all the good reviews - maybe they used to ship a different product- but what they sent me is already in the bin.

These are a great fit for my new barbell bar and are great value when compared to what else is on the market. There's sufficient tension on the springs to hold everything in place perfectly and they are very easy to use. So far no issues with them. I'm very pleased I bought them.
