Sedna - PCI Express (PCIe) Dual 2.5 Inch SATA III (6G) SSD Adapter (Short Double Side SSD Version) (with Built in Power Circuit, no Need SATA Power Connector, Best for Mac), SSD/HDD not Included

i brought this this item as away to get a little storage in my system im using a lenovo desktop, icore 8 windows 10. simply dropped in and worked didnt need to use the disk drivers that cam with it or anything.

I got this for my new Mac Pro 2019 to add 2.5" SSD storage. One side of the PCB is nice and flat under the SSD location. The side shown in the listing images and on Sedna's own www page. What is not shown is the riverside side which has several circuits that stick out UNDER the SSD location. One is 3.5mm tall and prevents the use of any method to secure the SSD using the provided L-brackets and screws. (See image w/o SSD attached) I see in the listing photos it never shows both drives with the L-bracket securing them to the PCIe card. So one SSD cannot lay flat on the PCB. (see image with the 2x blue SSD drives). What the heck???I installed it anyway and both drives are recognized and work fine. Great value but I ding the overall rating due to the circuits bumping out from one side of the PCB. I hope that SSD will not slowly slip out of the SATA connector.

Using standard perf test tools, slower than the same drives connected to the internal bus, an honest waste of money, not even worth returning, too much trouble to take the computer apart again, just forget it.

I could not boot into the OS or UEFI when this card was installed. Additionally the drive mounted on the back of the card does not fit well, the same issue that qb mentions in their review.

This crashed my computer after drivers were installed. Then it forced itself to become disk 0-1 forcing out the boot disk. I had to spend 3 hrs redoing my computer from scratch, will never buy anything like this again.
