Mainly got this as it had the USB-C connector to plug into my phone. Often have to do a quick check of NMEA signals in the marine industry, coupled with a terminal program on my android phone this works great! Works well with RS422, haven't tested RS485.Con: The status LEDs are surprisingly bright and a little distracting in a dim light environment, but a piece of masking tape fixes that.Otherwise using this with a phone is great for those tight places where you hesitate to take a laptop.

I had a USB-C one and recently the usb-c side of the device broke off inside of my laptop. I had to fish the silver bit out of the laptop and got stabbed by one of the pins that came free when the end broke off. Definitely recommend just buying the old school USB version as it’s much more durable!
