String SwingCC08 Violin Hanger with Bow Peg Attachment for Music Stand

Before I say anything else, im just going to warn all of you to immediately order a new set of strings, separate from your violin. The strings they send you, are extremely weak and easy to break. BUT! Don't let that discourage you from buying this violin, because strings are indeed temporary. The main reason you shouldn't buy a violin, is if it's sound is poor, and is poorly made.Now, when I got this violin, I was astounded when I opened my box. It was beautifully made, it came with everything you need for a violin (except a dampet, but that's optional), And immediately, I was off to tune it with this really cool tuner that came with it. Well a half hour Into tuning, I had the G and D string tuned, stoll having the A and E string to still tune. As I tuned the A string, the D string left out of being tuned. So I went back to that one, and snapped it -.-. So I put the Extra string on, and that got snapped real easily as well. So then I go back to A, finding that was out of tune again, so I went to tune so, and snapped that with its extra string set as well. As that hour passed, I got extremely well irritated, and went online to order a better set of strings. But for the G string remained, I played on that just to try it out, and the violins acoustics were beautiful. It sounded like I bought it for a thousand bucks.(P. S If you're a first time player, and trying to start a new rosin so you can play on your bow, keep rubbing the Horse hair up and down the rosin cake, it will eventually start.)

I bought this for my 10 year old daughter's violin (1/4 size). She has a Manhasset music stand with the added plastic accessory shelf. It does not interfere with placement of the plastic accessory shelf. It was easy to install and feels very sturdy. Some reviewers expressed concern that it rests on the pegs and it may throw the violin out of tune or cause damage to the pegs. That has not been my experience. Her 1/4 size violin rests on the peg box - the pegs themselves are not touching the holder. She has never had any tuning issues with use of the holder. The bow peg holds the bow in front of and just slightly away from the violin. Very pleased.UPDATE: We've been using this now for a little over 2 years. Daughter is now up to a full size violin. We still love this violin hanger. Still sturdy. No issues. Never had a fall. I'm surprised how many violinists don't have these and have never heard of them. They're missing out! So convenient and handy!

Very sturdy and snug on my metal music stand. If I could change one thing, I'd offset the bow peg to the side, so I can place and remove the violin without having to remove the bow first.Oh, and maybe I'd make the bow peg a little slimmer, so that it hangs in the curve of the frog. With my bow, it kind of perches between the thumb grip and the little metal thing that holds the bow hair. It doesn't hurt the bow, but it kind of bothers me in an OCD way.

I bought this violin holder with the purpose of having the violin close by every time I play. Is well made and is durable. You need to make sure you have a strong music stand. The violin does not rest on the pegs. I attached some pictures so you all have a better view how the violin is supposed to rest in the hanger. If you are thinking that the bow may hit the violin and can damage the varnish, from the pictures I attached you can see that the violin bow just barely touches the violin bridge not the varnish. One think you need to have in mind is that this is a hanger. If you are walking close by and hit the violin the violin will swing as well as the bow and you may be able to do some damage, you just need to be aware of your surroundings.Would I recommend this product? Of course...is cheap, is good quality, usable and durable.

It is so convenient to have your violin there at the ready when you go to play, at home or elsewhere. No holes to drill in the wall for a holder. The one I already had has lasted for years. Minor inconvenience is that it can be in the way of turning pages.

I bought the  Musician's Gear Heavy-Duty Folding Music Stand Black  through Amazon as well as this hanger for my violin. The hanger fits very nicely onto my stand, and with the screw tightened, it is very secure. I have plenty of space between the end of the hanger and my music, so turning pages is not a problem. I love this hanger because it saves me the trouble of putting my violin in/taking it out of the case every day when I practice. The bow peg can hold two bows at once. It's a clever, simple little device that I wish I had purchased earlier! I'd definitely recommend it!

I love the violin hanger. At home I use a floor stand. My private instructor rents a room at the local music store which is VERY SMALL. There is no place to lay your violin down; except to place it in your lap, which is also inconvenient when you want to make notes on sheet music. This is perfect when I leave the house. It fits inside my music satchel nicely. Easy to clip onto the music stand and take off after the lesson is over. Well made using heavy metal with lots of padding to prevent scratching your violin. You cannot beat the price.

This is such a simple little gadget that helps my bottom line. My son practices at the dining room table and he would typically just leave his violin haphazardly on the table so he could easily pick it up to practice later. But it got dropped a couple of times just sitting there. Or I would almost place food on top of it. This little gadget took a few seconds to install and now the stand and violin can safely be out of the way and ready for him to practice. And my table is clear and can get full use. Much safer way to store it and convenient when he's ready to practice again.

ヴィオラ掛けにも使えました。マンハセットM48(+2.5ポンドベースウェイト)に取り付けて使用しています。ベースウェイトの恩恵で楽器の重さによる譜面台のぐらつきは全くありませんでした。楽器自体も安定して掛けられました。譜面台が倒れない限り、地震等による落下の心配は無いように思えます。１つ難点として、触れるか触れないか程度ですが、３枚目の写真のように弓と駒が接触してしまうことがあります。帰宅後・休日の朝に楽器をこれに掛け、気が向いたときに触りに行くという使い方をしています。練習始動の難易度がピアノ並みまで下がり、明らかに練習量が増えました。始動までの腰が重いという方に是非おすすめです。

It works exactly as I had expected. It was easy to install and holds my fiddle firmly when I need to sort through my music sheets.
