Purchased 4 of the 5" for our kitchen island and 2 of the 3in for the sides of our stove. They came very well packaged. Wonderful additions to our kitchen.

This a real load bearing post. It paints well. It is made with multiple pcs glued together so It is not for staining.

We purchased two for the house, needed something for a kitchen island. The measurements were exact, which is something we were really hoping for as it was a last minute purchase. These are currently load bearing for the island and are able to handle the weight without a problem. They were easy to stain. They are large in size, which was only noticed when compared to the cabinet columns that we had initially purchased at lowes, and perfect for our kitchen renovation.

The low rating is not because of the actual product. The posts are beautiful and well priced. We bought these to support the overhang of our new granite countertops. We are giving a lower rating because they arrived damaged in one of the corners. It was pushed in and a little broken, like it was slammed down. It really should have been packaged better. I’m sure I could have returned them, but they are enormous and didn’t want to bother. The contractors will install the damaged side toward the back so hopefully it cannot be seen.
