Follow other’s Suggestions
I decided to write this review to provide a positive light on this product because of some of the negative feedback already given. I read the reviews prior to my purchase so I knew it was going to come as raw material, covered in grease and that it had potential to rust. There were several good suggestions from previous reviews to remedy these issues. I will say that, first of all, the instructions tell you to clean/prep the product before assembly. Second, I followed the suggestions of cleaning with dawn dish soap, sealing with Rustoleum clear sealant and then placing felt pads on the legs. My towel holder was easy to assemble, is functional, does not scratch surfaces and hasn’t left any residue thus far after doing those simple extra steps. It truly is a unique addition to our home.

I really like the holder - the black one is way better in person then what you see in the images. Glad I went with it! It's a little bit smaller than the commercial grey steel one which is perfect. Highly recommended. Seller is phenomenal and a pleasure to work with. Quickly addressed all my concerns and needs. Will definitely be a repeat customer! :)

Worth the effort
Yes, the pieces come greasy. So I got some brake cleaner spray from the hardware store, and sprayed the pieces clean (ventilation!). Then I applied some clear epoxy rustoleum spray paint. And within minutes, half my office wanted one because it looks so cool. Yes, I tried to find the parts at the store instead of buying this kit, and totally failed. The little five way center piece is impossible to even order online. Just get this kit and have a little fun finishing it, and you'll have a gorgeous piece of art that you helped make, something you can be proud of.

Coolest paper towel holder
Cleaning the product was a pain, but happy that they were protecting from rust. Love the style!

Be aware it’s raw plumbing parts
Just simple plumbing partsNot excited about the fact it was in raw formStill had cutting oil on itTo say the least could have been paintedAnd maybe rubber feet on it so you don’t scratch your counter tops and if it gets wet it will begin to rustMaking a mess

Very easy to assemble and not messy
Very easy to assemble. Very little grease which is expected on metal parts when they are threaded together like this. Not sure why so many complained about it being messy or hard to put together. Had this together in less than 5 minutes. Love it.
