Excellent book to build your car step by step without skipping the basics. I followed this book religiously and definitely applied the knowledge I read and got great results. It has good info about the function of parts and upgrades and covers a lot of areas even the history of the car to tips on buying a used car. Like someone else pointed out it is a shame there's less info about taking the MR2 Spyder since that car has very high potential but I still give it 5 stars because it aims at the majority of MR2 owners which drive SW20s. For those rarer AW11 and ZZW30 who take modifications to the extreme are already far beyond the scope of this book and lucky we have internet forums. Having the book is great for reference tho.All in all I think this is a fantastic guide for someone relatively new to the scene but intermediates can learn a thing or too.

Very informative

This book is a good resource particularly for Gen 2 SW2 MR2's although there is some information for earlier and later generations. It is especially helpful for those looking to upgrade/modify performance. I especially liked presenting upgrades in so-called "phases". The price for the book is somewhat high for the volume of content.

This book has been great for me as a second generation MR2 owner. The book definitely has a focus on the second generation but there is some great information for the other generations as well. In addition to talking about modifications there is some interesting information about the backgrounds of each car. I would highly recommend this book to any MR2 owner interested in modifying, or currently modifying, their MR2.

If you are looking for information about early MR2s, related details about turbo charging and autocrossing, you may find exactly what you want in this book. However, if you want serious information about the later MR2 Spyder there is far less information and fewer pages are devoted to it.Page 116: "When swapping a new engine into the MR2 Spyder, most folks reach for the 2ZZ-GE from the Celica GT-S, the powerplant many owners felt should've been in the car all along." So, details on this engine swap could have been extremely useful. Instead, there is an article on swapping a Honda engine into an MR2 Spyder, lacking details.Nice book, almost what I wanted.

Extremely valuable book. Full of great advice and unbiased facts to help you decide how and how much to modify your MR2. I especially liked the cost vs gain info and tradeoffs to expect when doing the mods.

Must have for any serious MR2 owner who wants to make there car perform better.... great info

Parlo della spyder....dice poco e niente e inutile su consigli di preparazioni o settaggi...per le altre non me ne intendo molto ma a mio parere se lo si compra per quel motivo lasciate perdere....come raccolta invece male non fa.

Great book. Easy to read and you don't need to be a gearhead to understand it. Great starting point for anyone new to the MR2 and a valuable addition to any MR2 fan or owners library.
