Very good at a very good price!
Decided to make jam, as you do! Plenty of stuff to make jam with in the garden and on my 10,000 step walks. Damsons, crab apples, sloes, cooking apples (scrumped from someone's garden!). I remember my grand mother doing this and so looked for wax tops and plastic coverings and jam jars, etc. Found these jam jar covers and they are top.

Adequate
The wax discs are still too small for an average 1lb jar

1lb jam maker covers with wax disc and labels
Issues finding 1lb jar size jam maker covers so ordered these. Pleased I did as been using them since they arrived. Plenty of 2lb jar size but I recycle jars much smaller than the 2lbs so wanted the 1lb sizes. Highly recommend if you cannot find any within your area. Our little sweet / gift shop used to sell them alas this closed down years ago and locally couldn't find any hence ordered off Amazon.

The cellophane covers are too thick.
The cellophane transparent covers are so thick, probably at least twice or three times as thick as normal covers, which make fitting them to the pot extremely difficult. Whether they will have an effect is doubtful. It was similar to putting a sheet of Perspex onto the jam pot. Moistening them as per instructions had no effect on them. Trying to keep them in place with the rubber bands needed 4 hands as the covers were so rigid and kept springing the rubber band off. In the end the only way to fit them was to hold it in place on the jam pot, screw the lid on, then fit the rubber band. Not the correct way to do it. Sadly this is typical of poor quality control of imported goods from China. Won’t be buying these again.

Nice Selection
A good selection of items for jam making - but I found the labels a bit small and the wax discs a bit too big. All worked out though.
