BosmereK811 Nutscene Mini Spools of Twine, 8 Assorted Colors in Gift Box,Orange,Blue,Green

I thought this would be a nice touch to our holiday gift wrapping this year (we use kraft paper with designs on it) but, unfortunately, this twine is the *real deal*. It's not fine like baker's twine or smooth to the touch- it's the real deal. I'll be using it for my garden and for stuff around the house instead of for under the tree or for wrapping birthday gifts.However, the colors are LOVELY.And the cats were drawn to it like a magnet- they enjoyed chewing on it (we left it on one gift and we wound up having to re-wrap it because the cats gnawed on the edge of the twine bow), so if you want to AVOID tempting your neighborhood cats in your garden, maybe leave the ends much higher than they can reach. I don't know what it is about this twine, but I've never seen my cats drawn to anything like that.

The picture I saw that inspired me to get this had Red twine in it, too, so that there would be the ability to use rainbow colors. Our pack did not have red in it. It had most of the other colors, though, and is a fun product. If there was red I would give it a 5.

The old tan or green gardening twine does the job it is meant to do, but colors are a nice alternative and more versatile. My husband and I have used it in place of ribbon on brown paper wrapped gifts. Looks real cute!

Although I chose this colorful twine to try to use for a knitted product and it doesn't work too well that way as it is rather stiff, the spools can probably be used for weaving as well as for other decorative and gardening uses. The colors are vibrant and happy.

Looking for a way to brighten my Christmas i decided to buy different coloured string. Alas - no retailer around here, including B and Q has this kind of product. these are very bright coloured strings and well worth trying.

Bought as gifts. Went down really well

When they say 8 assorted colours they seem to mean 3 of regular brown twine (boring) & some of blue / purple. Where is the exciting black, orange or burgundy ?. l'm sick of companies showing advertising photos of their best colours but shipping whatever they have left over. Brown is fine for the garden but what if you wanted them to tie gifts or do craft projects, l can get brown twine anywhere for a much cheaper price. Gift box is a stretch, it's just plain brown cardboard without a lid.

The most beautiful garden twine! Now that it’s here, I don’t want to open it. I’m happy just admiring it in the package for a while. That’s completely ridiculous, and I will open it and use it eventually. Just not yet.
