APS YC500A- microinverter one inverter for two solar panels

This inverters are the best. I have about 6 of them and never had any problems

I have yet to install the unit. But it looks to be OK.

I have searched for awhile now. I may have to cut the ends off and put my own on. No one seems to know where to get the proprietary connectors to connect this to AC power. I have asked for months now with no answer.

I did not purchase these through Amazon but directly through gogreensolar.com. I am disappointed with the products reliability and reporting. Inverters drop out during the day for no particular reason then come back on. It is unclear if there is a corresponding drop in production. Gogreensolar.com is unwilling to allow me to return the inverters, APS is worse. They are non-responsive and have failed to fix the problem or provide a date when the problem would be fixed. It's been happening since I installed them 3 months ago. I cannot recommend APS inverters nor would I use them again. As far as installation, they are easy to install and appear to produce as designed other than what is pointed out above, thus 2 stars.

My system went on line in September 2015 and one YC500 inverter failed within first 3 months. Second YC500 inverter failed 12 months after initial installation, and third YC500 failed June 2021 or 5 years after installation.Discussing the rate of failure with tech that replaced last failed inverter and he said I was fortunate to only have three failures??? Surprised because I would have thought the YC500 failure rate would be much lower?When they function they are great, but not really happy with this failure rate.

I bought 9 of these APS units and installed it on my 5kW system last year. The performance has been fantastic with no issues whatsoever. The system installs so easily and I was up and running in no time. I did an exhaustive analysis of all available microinverters before choosing the YC500A and am happy to say that this is the most cost effective solution in the market and works like a charm. I have been tracking the performance of my system regularly and not once the system has had any problem.The overall service has been awesome. Happy to recommend this equipment. The design is very thoughtful and takes advantage of the latest electronics available in the market today. Planning to buy more of these units for a larger system to be installed on commercial rooftops.

Very good, but should come with a AC connector

Garbage. Super high failure rate. Of the 19 units I have 7 have failed in 2 years. Customer service is non existent. Look elsewhere online there reviews are horrible. I’ve switched my entire system to SMA string inverters with Tigo optimizers.
