They say it’s more expensive than gold and that’s because it weighs next to nothing whereas gold weighs a ton. It really has a unique flavor that will bring your cooking to the next level. Remember that a little bit goes a long way. Don’t add it to cooked foods until the very end of cooking. If you’re making a dip though, crush it up, mix it in and wait several hours for the flavor to disperse because if you don’t the results will be bitter. Bon appétite!

This a good product at lower price than Persian Saffron. It does not have the same aroma but gives you the color you need. People have said thus fake. This is NOT fake! Spanish Saffron has a different quality and that is why it is cheaper. Use it if you need larger quantity in cooking.

I have never had Saffron rice. I used this product, following a recipe. The flavor had a hint of spice and a very satisfying 'fresh' taste. I believe this will be a great spice for jazzing up almost any bland food.

The saffron I received looks just like the pictures; nice and red and healthy looking. Love the way this saffron is packaged in a small tin versus a bag that lets all the air in.I received in one day. I haven't used it yet but smells delicious but plan on making paella for a group of friends this week. Can't wait!

This is the first time I have ever used saffron. I was excited to get this brand from Spain because there is such a deep cultural history with it. It looks to be high quality and dark red (supposed to be best). The description also says they use the ISO process, so I am more likely to trust them. Smells good to me and crumbles well. The tin is cool too.

Adds some great flavour to my paellas!As much as saffron typically costs, this one is great value, and has a wonderful aroma and flavour.I've tried others, but for the price this beats them hands down.5 aromatic stars from me! Get you some!

Very expensive but excellent!! with a small amount it is worthy, I tryed another kind but nothing like this, I highly recommend it.

I have tried a couple of other saffron for my Spanish rice, but this has been the best I’ve tried so far. Delicious!The only complaint I have is that the tin lid is EXTREMELY difficult to open. It was an extreme struggle to open it. I hope the company can do something to ease the opening of the container.
