I'll admit, I knew nothing about pearls when I purchased these earrings, only that I had always wanted a pair. After doing a little homework, it was clear that it was a good purchase. Not only are they beautiful on, but they have all the signs of good quality:- lustrous shine- iridescence that varies in color and pattern- texture that is slightly gritty when rubbed against another pearl or the edge of your tooth- very slight irregularity in shape (not perfectly round)- slight difference in size when compared to the other pearl (which you REALLY have to be looking for when they are right next to each other)These qualities (texture, shape and size) do not detract from the look of the earrings at all. After reading a comment from someone who said they should have ordered a larger pair, I ordered up one size to the 6.5-7 mm ones, which I think are actually a little big for every day wear (at least for me). All things considered, I am super happy to finally add these classic staples to my jewelry box and have put the matching necklace on my Christmas list! :)

This was a gift for my wife. She loved them but berates me for spend so much on her. I've got a keeper. Any how there was a choice of sizes and that made the size choice difficult, i.e., which size is too small only fitting for a young girl and which size would be would be gauchely oversized. These were 6.5-7 mm sized. The nacre seemed as lustrous as an old necklace of Mikimoto pearls.The Pearl Source is an American company. I hope they sourced the pearls from Japan and not China. If they are Chinese sourced I would have to deduct at least three stars from my evaluation. Unfortunately Pearl Source does tell the source for this item. I now always trying to buy American. My motto - "Buy American made products, not Chinese."

This was the first time I'd ever purchased jewelry online so needless to say I was skeptical, even after reading all of the glowing reviews. When the package arrived a day early I couldn't wait to have a look. These 6.5-7.0mm earrings were for my Mother as a belated Mother's Day gift, so they HAD to be perfect. Well, these pearl studs are absolutely STUNNING. I could not stop peeking at them. I was honestly shocked at how beautiful they were, despite not breaking the bank. The luster was incredible, size was perfect for every day wear in my opinion, white gold posts were polished beautifully/well made and the backs were nice and tight, so very secure. ZERO COMPLAINTS! My Mom was so surprised and happy. I will be treating myself and my 8 year old daughter to a pair very soon...and adding the matching princess length pearl necklace to my Christmas list for hubby to get me this year. :) I would highly recommend The Pearl Source to anyone looking to buy pearl jewelry.

Got these for a Christmas present that I picked out from my parents . They are so pretty but it said don’t get wet... I’m the worlds worse about wearing one pair and never changing, so I sleep and take showers in then. I am only going to wear these when I go out somewhere so they will last. I don’t know how durable pearls are . They color is really pretty also. And the value was good

The shape, color and luster of the pearls are very good. These are a great value relative to the prices I found on similar earrings at local jewelers. My wife loves them and wears the earrings daily. The posts and backs have held up well. The 6.5-7.0 mm diameter pearls are a nice size and I'm glad that I purchased a slightly larger size than I was initially considering. These pearls are so beautiful and the size is perfect for me. They are packaged very nicely and make a beautiful gift. I bought the 6.5-7 and absolutely love them. Worth every penny.

I bought these for residency interviews (I am in my last year of medical school). I wanted pearl earrings that looked professional and fit within my very limited budget. These were perfect! They looked a little small in the box but combined with a suit they look beautiful. I also wear them for work. The color and shape are exactly as advertised and I am so glad I did my homework and read multiple reviews before buying them. I am thinking of getting another pair just to have as a back up. Great product, good quality at an affordable price.

I purchased the earrings for my mother for Christmas. I love them! They have a high gloss and I can't see any flaws. I know my mom will really like them. I can't wait to give them to her this year. However, I did see Akoya pearls in Sams Club for $99. I didn't get the chance to look at the rating. For now I'm really pleased with the pair I bought for eventhough they are $28 higher than the Sams Club price.
