I almost didn't buy these because of some of the reviews. Glad I did! They are really good, but a couple of things: 1) The square tray gets heavy when you put water in it and the silicone isn't sturdy (it's a floppy material!) so you need to put the ice cube tray on a plate or sheet pan to fill it and place it in the freezer. 2) the round cubes need to be placed on a tray also, and I've found that they sort of "snap" together. Make sure they are snapped all the way around. Also, when you fill them you should go ahead and let the water just stay on the outside part. If you try to dump it, you will empty the round molds as well. The extra ice is easy to remove when they are frozen. 3) Someone mentioned that they were hard to unmold. I hold my warm hand around the outside for a few seconds before I push the cubes out. If silicone is sticking to your cubes, you might have your freezer on a very cold setting and you might need to wait a little longer before unmolding. Having said all of that, these work very well and the cubes are impressive!

The square cubes are easy enough to make, just fill them and put the freezer like ordinary ice trays. The squares are big and they really do melt much slower than conventional sizes square cubes. Normally, I use 4 conventional cubes in my cup when I pour out a can of Coca Cola. With these big cubes, I use two, but really I could (and do sometimes) use one!!!The spheres might be more trouble than they are worth. First, they are smaller than what I had hoped for. I was thinking one sphere would almost fill my cocktail glass, it doesn't, it takes two of them to do so. Secondly, its almost impossible to fill the container without spilling water on the outside, which means you will always have this secondary layer of ice you have to break apart in order to release the spheres. Its not a total deal breaker, but I think there has to be a better way. There is a little spout supplied, but its frustrating to use. ON the bright side, when you do make the spheres, you will have an extra sheet of ice for your drink.

If you like whiskey... these are great! Durable and easy to use.

The square is very difficult to get out of the tray once frozen but overall a nice little block of ice once you do, takes a lot longer to melt and water down the drink. The round is difficult to fill without making a mess and often get 3/4 of a ball. I gave a 3 star because I would give the square 4 but the round 2 so went for the middle.

I would like it to be easier but that's not practical thinking. Think about it, it's frozen in a square hole with only 1 of six sides open. You might try turning it upside down and running warm water over the cube, that you want to remove, to make it easier. I'm happy with mine and would buy again. I have had no problem with it failing in any way.

Overall, this is a fine product, especially for the price. I kind of got it on a lark when it was on one of the daily specials here on Amazon. The spherical ice molds are a 2-piece mold that snaps together. There's a hole about a quarter inch in diameter at the top to fill it with water, and it comes with a small funnel to use. I've found the funnel to be almost useless and just either use a small-size regular kitchen funnel or simply pour the water carefully from the kitchen sink or use a measuring cup with a pour spout to fill them. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is that, once you start working the thing apart a few times, it kind of tends to distort the shapes of the top and bottom pieces of the mold, so they aren't quite as watertight as they started. Of course, being silicone, you can pretty much cram them together until they fit fairly well, and then massage the assembled unit back into shape, but it would be nice if they did something to make the edges of the top and bottom a little more rigid, to snap together a little better. That's a very minor gripe, and overall, I think these are fun little doodads, and I'll be making some more big cubes and spheres for a friend's birthday party this weekend. Definitely well worth the price.Oh, and the large cube tray is just that, a regular open topped silicone ice cube tray, six cubes, just each one is about the volume of around six or eight regular ice cubes. No problem at all with that part of the package.

Very happy with this set. The silicone thick so it is going to be long lasting and not rip/split from getting the ice out. The thickness also makes the tray pretty sturdy for putting into the freezer.There is also a little funnel to help in filling the sphere style tray as you have to fill that one from holes in the top.These make for large cubes/spheres so I am finding this would be good for freezing sauces etc and then popping them into a freezer bag tray to take out for single servings of pasta etc.Note that if you want to have cubes they look very clear like you see in pictures, it's best to use distilled water. Tap or spring water won't usually work for that. It has nothing to do with the tray use. It's the nature of the water.I definitely recommend this set.

Easy to use and excellent ice cubes shapes

The media could not be loaded.  Für mich eine gute Kaufentscheidung, ich war auf der Suche nach Silikikonformen für Eiswürfel in guter Qualität, die einfach zu befüllen sind, sich einfach lösen lassen und dazu eine schöne große Größe haben, ohne jedoch zu groß für gängige Gläser zu sein.Hier bin ich fündig geworden. Top.Das Material ist stabil und dabei aber leicht formbar, sodass das Lösen kein Problem ist.Bei der Lieferung ist auch ein Mini Trichter dabei, um die Runden Behälter leichter und bis zum Rand füllen zu können.Durch das Volumen der Eiswürfel/Kugel sind sie sehr ergiebig und halten im Getränk schön lange, sodass man nicht zwangsläufig nach jedem Getränk wieder neue Eiswürfel reinmachen muss.

I have had these is use for quite some now. Excellent quality in the product, the molds don't show any sign of undue wear and produce large ice cubes. There is a knack to getting the round type right but its not too hard.

PROS: Does what the product description says - makes bigger ice cubes. Good for those who prefer whiskey or other drinks with ice but not too diluted with smaller ice cubes you get in most ice trays which have a larger overall surface area (and faster melting rates, more water).CONS: Only 6 at a time, the funnel is a bit fiddly - and probably the first thing you'll lose. Making ice spheres has a clear seam where the two silicon halves join.
