The BEST sunscreen I've found
This is my MUST HAVE sunscreen. I've had almost every type of skin cancer (thankfully, caught early), so I NEED good sun protection, especially on my face. I have very fair skin. This product leaves a bit of a white cast, but after a short period of time, that white case is absorbed. The white cast of a mineral sunscreen might look chalky on a person with darker skin. The BEST thing about this sunscreen is I can put it on my eyelids and under my eyes, it doesn't irritate my eyes AT ALL. The other well-known sunscreen I used for a long time really made my eyes sting if a bit got into them. This is my favorite sunscreen of all time.

GREAT for sensitive skin
I have the most sensitive, dermatitis prone skin of anyone in human history. This sunscreen didn't cause me to flare nor did it cause my existing flare to worsen. It is SOOO gentle and sensitive skin friendly. Now, let's address the elephant in the room first: yes, there's a whitest with this sunscreen BUT only if you treat it like a chemical sunscreen. You can't quickly rub it in and be good to go. I apply half, rub it in, let it sink in for a few minutes, rub in the other half, wait a few minutes and go back and rub it in more. On days where I don't have as much time I do apply a tiny bit of tinted sunscreen (tower 28 sunny days is my go-to) on top and it completely cancels out any white cast.I am also super picky about how sunscreen/makeup feels on my face, if something feels cakey I can't stand it. I am shocked this doesn't feel cakey on my skin at all. The only downside is the 10-15 minutes it takes to sink in and having to rub it in twice. If you've got the time this is a god send for sensitive skin!

Better than expected
I have been on the hunt for an all mineral face sunscreen because I have sensitive skin that hates everything and chemical sunscreens are bad for the oceans, so mineral sunscreen solves both of those problems! I have very sensitive and reactive combination skin that leans acne prone in the summer because hello, sweat! I don’t wear makeup and I focus a lot on my skincare, so having a a good sunscreen to top it all off matters. Chemical sunscreens tend to sting my eyes and leave me shiny by the end of the day, but I haven’t been able to find a mineral sunscreen that doesn’t leave my face all white and layers well with my skincare without pilling.I tried this la roche posay in 90 degree weather and I liked it. I don’t love it yet, but I don’t hate it. I like it enough to keep it and continue trying it in my rotation. It felt thick when I put it on which I usually don’t like, but it spread with some effort and left no white cast. It didn’t feel tacky and I didn’t feel like it was melting off my face or anything like that. I wasn’t doing much more than sitting around, so I will update if it slides off with higher activity levels. I’m usually really sensitive around my eye area, and this sunscreen wasn’t irritating at all. I don’t wear makeup, so I can’t speak to how this layers with makeup, but it didn’t pill with my serums and moisturizer and it left a very smooth matte finish that I’d imagine would be fine to apply makeup. Unlike some chemical sunscreens I’ve worn in the past, this didn’t leave me shiny at the end of the day. It has no discernible scent which is great if you’re sensitive to smells. I would not say that this could replace a moisturizer if you are looking for a combo moisturizer sunscreen. It’s not drying, but it’s very matte and doesn’t provide any added moisture. I’m comparing to my old bare republic mineral face that was much lighter and softer to apply than this, but the formula doesn’t mix with my new skincare routine. I will update this review after more use to see how it compares to others I’ve purchased.

Awesome for daily use
Great clean sunscreen. Runs smoothly on the skin.

Leaves white cast, works okay under makeup.
First time using this sunscreen. I have very sensitive skin and thought since my skin tolerates their cleansers and moisturizers surely it should tolerate the sunscreen. So far so good. It’s very calming on my skin (maybe because of the zinc), but it leaves a noticeable white cast especially if you have dark skin. I wear mine under makeup and have a separate sunscreen from another brand on days where I don’t want to wear makeup. The white cast actually acts as a blank base and helps my foundation to lay well. A tip I learned from makeup artists years ago. Sunscreens that leave a white cast cancels out your natural color and acts as a corrector, concealer and foundation to lay better and look more like skin. Think of it like painting on a blank canvas. The texture is not lotion like and is actually quite thick. make sure to moisturize well before apply this sunscreen. I’ll write an update if I notice any negative issues, but so far I’m content with it because of the purpose I'm using it for.

Works great!!
It’s really good mineral sunscreen. It has a white caste initially but it blends in well after a while. I loved to use it on a holiday by the beach. It works well for both face and body.

White cast, does not blend in at all.
I really wanted to like this sunscreen because of its high SPF and mineral protection, but it’s completely unusable for me. No matter how little I apply or how long I try to rub it in, it leaves an intense white cast that refuses to blend. It sits on top of the skin and makes me look ghostly. If you have anything other than very fair skin, this will likely be a problem. Definitely not worth the hype.
