Handy add on. Sound quality is fair.
Handy add on when working out on the farm. to keep the radio out of the way and use the Mic as a speaker. Sound quality is fair especially when outside. Have not had them long enough to rate the durability.

Average quality - Great Seller
***UPDATE 2***After and email chat with the seller, they sent me a new microphone because they wanted to make sure I was happy. Because of the way they handled this, I will definitely do business with Mirkit Radio again, and highly recommend them as a seller. There are differences in the two speaker microphones I received. As you can see in the attached photo, the first has rectangles on the side of the plug and a little thicker wire. The new one is thinner wire but a more stout plug, and it stays plugged in. Also the first one sounds more like a tin can than the replacement. Overall, I can only give the product 3 start, but I give the seller 5 stars.***UPDATE***After using this microphone just 3 times, and trying it on both of my Baofeng BF-F8HP radios, it will not stay plugged into the smaller of the two plugs. If I squeeze the radio hard, holding it in, it works, but as soon as I let go, it no longer works. From my earlier review, you can see I was mostly happy with the microphone. That is absolutely no longer the case. Guess at this point I am out the money. I thought it might be the radio, but my programming cable works perfect, and I am experiencing the same problem with both my radios.****************************************This works as it should. I just think it feels a little "cheap". It is very small in the hand, just like the BF-F8hp I got it for, but the plastic feels thin and the button is just not smooth. My comparison is to a top line Motorola. This is nowhere near the price of that speaker/mic, so for the price you pay, this is probably a good value. I just hope it holds up over time. Sounds good both for Rx and Tx, so I can't really complain.

Kids toys have greater quality control... UPDATE & Resolved!!!
Ordered two of these and received them yesterday. The price isn’t the cheapest, but not the highest either, so my expectations were that this would be of average quality. One mic starts popping when the radio is turned on and stops after a few seconds, but has quite a low speaker volume. The second is okay, but my transmission sounds like a tin can. The radios are not the issue as we swapped them around, tested others, etc. These are just horrible quality.I tried to reach out to the seller to see what they say, no email listed in the packaging or Amazon listing. I reached out via the “Ask seller a question...” and was given a reply the message didn’t go through as there was a problem with the seller’s email system. Im returning these ASAP.UPDATE: My email, despite the error to me, was received by the seller and they will be sending me new units. I appreciate their response and I will update accordingly. Seller was fast in correcting the issue for me. They sent replacements for both mics we purchased they the quality is better with these two. These are not their weatherproof versions, so the mic/speaker portion is smaller than some may be experience with (think older Motorola types) but they work great! Have updated my rating but retain my headline to reflect that the units I received were defective (or something) and the seller took the right steps to correct. I would add that a customer support email listing on their store would help as well.

Works great after minor alteration
Good value with one quick fix... I have two if these and with both was told that I sounded muffled. Take the cover off and redrill the mic hole with a 5/64 bit. Be sure to take the cover off first so that you do not damage the actual mic...

3.5mm jack didn't work
Lightweight which can be a plus for a shoulder mike, compared to many in use with emergency personnel. However, too light for use as a desk top mike, as it was skittery when trying to pick it up off table top. That low weight also went with a bit of clinkiness. Actual mike button was hardly held in there, and appeared a weak part in design. However the micro-switch behind that mike button was of reasonable quality. The dual jack required a 2 part effort to get it fully seated into several radios tried. Speaker was OK; Had several persons listen and they said it wasn't quite as good as that in the radio or when using a directly plugged in earpiece, but was good enough to use. Test persons couldn't tell audio difference between transmissions with this or without. 3.5mm jack had a wet-plug cover that got quite in the way when trying to put plug into jack making it a 3-handed operation. Headphones didn't work when plug fully inserted, but mic button then didn't work either. With plug half way in and leaned on the headphones worked but speaker did not cut-off. Tried to convince myself 3 times to keep it for another limited purpose but it offered me little options for effective use, so returned it.

Work well
That aren’t as heavy duty feeling as some. But have good sound & tx light not all more expensive have. Well worth the price.
