I contacted TOPEN Customer Service and within a few hours I was contacted by Chloe. After a few e-mails between the two of us Chloe was able to diagnose the problem as being a bad circuit board. I believe with all the power outages once power was restored my circuit board must have received a power surge. Adding a surge protector I now feel that this hopefully will not happen again. If you are looking for a gate opener plus great customer service, you cannot go wrong with purchasing a TOPEN Gate Opener.

old one would still be working if not for lightning strike. easy to replace.

The product did not last but 2 months. I have to buy another one but not sure if i will buy this brand. Is there something else i can do? thanks

We love the gate openers, I installed A A5131 opener on our 16 foot gate and a A3 on a 12 gate at our daughter’s easy to install, we love ours new installation, but our daughters the best she has had a gate for 2 years with 4 dogs, what a pain to open gate manually, now we pull up push button and wala gate opens great product. Customer service was awesome reply to my emails ever evening problem resolved quickly. Thank you

Lightening zapped my control board so contacted Zack at Topens, no problem for him to get me the correct replacement so I was back up in no time. Thanks Topen and Zack

This is the 3rd one in 4 years of gate ownership. Based on my limited knowledge of circuit boards, it appears that the RF receiver chip goes bad. I have ordered some RF chips and will film a Youtube video of swapping them to see if I'm right, because other than not recognizing the remotes any more, the board seems to work.So why 3 stars - well, when these work they work great, but 3 in 4 years means they basically last on average 16 months
