I pick names of the angle tree every year and I had a 6 year old that wanted play makeup. I luckily found this kit with a very good deal and coupon! It was a super cute kit, the bag was seriously so adorable and the makeup was perfect for a kid that age! It all came in a plastic box which was great for a gift!

My grand-girls have enjoyed these so much that I have ordered another set 4 years later for the next batch of kids coming along. They have not stained or caused any messes in my house.

Overall a great gift. I couldn't figure out how to open the sparkly stuff in the little tiered container with the silver top, but I don't mind. Got this as a birthday gift for my 3 year old and I feel like whatever is in there would be a mess anyway lol. She loves getting into my makeup so I got her this and she loves it. The colors of all the makeup are perfect for a toddler, not all crazy or overly pigmented. She loves wearing the lipsticks, eyeshadow, and lip gloss. The other day, she got some of the red lipstick on the wall and it stained. So. Definitely be aware of that! It seems to be pretty easy to remove from skin though overall. She loves it and I'm glad I bought it.

I bought this for my daughter's 4th birthday. It has brought her hours of enjoyment and me hours of aggravation. Overall I am very happy with this kit, but I would recommend removing 2 of the products if a younger child is playing with it. The brown eyebrow pencil and the 3-pack of "lip gloss". The pencil is more like a permanent pencil. It is not easily removed even with soap and water. After scrubbing faces several times, I finally removed it from the kit. Problem solved. Then I discovered the 2nd problem. The 3-pack lip gloss is more like wax and impossible to get off surfaces. My make-up table will probably never be the same because I have not been able to remove it. The joy this has brought my daughter is worth the lessons I learned and once those 2 products were removed, it has become much more enjoyable for me, as well. I can allow her to play with it without hovering over her and worrying about the damage I'll find when she's finished. The nail polish and eye shadows come off super easily. I would purchase this product again but would remove those 2 products for younger ones.

So... I didn’t read the reviews and thought this was play/fake makeup. I gave it to her right out of the amazon box and boyyyyyy was I surprised that it’s real. My fault— but completely worth it. She used the eyeliner to draw eyebrows on herself without a mirror and it took every ounce of me to not laugh in front of her. This is perfect gift for little girls or even tweens who want to experiment with makeup. My daughter is 4 and loves all of the color choices and loves putting makeup on herself and me. My only warning is that the eyeliner is a bit difficult to remove. She had those eyebrows for a couple days.
