Great case, in my line of work i am very accident prone with phones. I actually waited untill my 3rd V40 through insurance to get a decent case for it. Iv dropped it a few times here and there and the phone has not been damaged at all. It definitely feels bulky if you're used to running your phone naked or with a slim case but you get used to it and its not really so bad after a few days. The fingerprint scanner is also easy to hit with the case on. The only thing i dislike is how much dust and dirt gets inside the case through the back side. just keep in mind to take it out and clean it every so often if your rubbing this thing around in a dirty enviroment a lot. All in all a great case to protect your phone.

So, here I am. After killing 3 lesser (inexpensive) cases - that ultimately did their job of protecting my phone, I finally bought this, and I am impressed. Instead of buying another very inexpensive case, the price on the Otterbox dropped by about $30 (since my phone is over 2 years old), so it was a no brainer to buy what should be the best in the business phone case. It has already provided protection to my phone, and what is more amazing is that my wireless charging gear works with the case installed (at least for me)

Definitely durable. The LG V40 fits perfect. The buttons line up well. I have used Otterboxes for many years.A few small issues (nit picks)1. is how it locks the phone to the belt clip. The belt case locks in the phone in only one direction and can't be reversed. This is because of the buttons on the phone.2. The belt case also blocks the headphone jack. If you are trying to use wired headphones with the holster this is a problem.3. Be careful when removing the plastic hardshell from your phone the small plastic clips sometimes break. I've had this happen twice in ten years and Otterbox always replaced it for like $10 shipped. It would be nice if there was an option for screen protection like the older Otters.It allows you to carry your phone with confidence that it will be on your belt.I do wish we had more color choices. I will skin my V40 so it will not look like everyone else's otter. Overall it's Still the best protection I've found for this phone.

I have always used an Otterbox phone protector for my phones. The last one I had for a round 6 years, and it finally snapped the belt clip. Found this, bought it, and I'm back in the game with my phone on my hip.

We always buy Otterbox cases. Have always been pleased with them

Doesn't have screen protector like the other OtterBoxes. I get the idea since the V40 has edge to edge screen. You'll need to purchase one separately. All in all its still a great product to protect the phone. I've used OtterBox products for all my devices vs the other brand of cases for many years. If dropped my phone so many times in my line of work and it well worth spending $40-$50.

Edit: took this apart to clean it 6 months later and the plastic casing caused a pressure crack on thebscreen under the case. Itbisbabdesign flaw in the case having the hard plastic snap into place over the screen. I would never have known the crack was there if i hadnt taken the case off. The company refuses to fix the damage and will only replace the case with a different one. This case is alao not water resistant at all. Even a splash will allow water into your phone which ia what let to me taking it off the phone in the first place.The only thing i dont like is the direction that the cover for the charge port flips....it flips up toward the face instead of back...so it makes it hard to see the plug when attaching to charger. The case itself seems to be holding up well.
