Great for anyone with muscles (meaning everyone)!
Received this 3 pack yesterday, just in time to help out a friend who had pulled a muscle in his leg. First of all, the heating process is absolutely amazing. You just squeeze/bend the little disc inside the pad and watch the heat spread. Yes, you can actually see it heating up as it goes from a greenish color to a whitish color within a few seconds. My friend put the pack in the knee wrap and wrapped it around his calf muscle area. After a few minutes he said he could actually feel the heat penetrating deep into his muscles, relaxing them.I highly recommend this 3 pack, as it covers all possible areas you may need to use them on. They're easy to re-activate via boiling in water, but be sure to read the instructions as to keeping them from touching the sides of the pot. I just wrap mine in a thin towel and boil for a few minutes. The nice thing is being able to take these on trips, such as hiking or camping where you might pull a muscle and need quick relief. No microwave needed and if you're camping and have a large pot, you can always boil water to re-activate it. This would be a great gift for anyone involved in any kind of sports, too.

Average lasting heat like the rest but a pain to boil
Bought these as replacements for my niece but the biggest complaint is that they don't retain heat that long. Honestly, haven't found any that do. It is not very efficient to stand by a pot and wait to get ready again. Heat retainment was 30 minutes. Not good. Will try microwavable ones instead. No odor, hasn't broke open yet and she uses it a lot after volleyball practices and games.

This is an INCREDIBLE Green Heat product, not the actual Instant Green Heat product you're led to believe it is
I bought this because this product is advertised as Instant Green Heat; it is not, it is a knockoff product and even though the product description will state Reusable Hot Packs ...Instant Green Heat, do not be fooled like I was. When you zoom in on the picture it will show "Incredible" Green Heat not instant Green Heat. Two way different products with way different warranties. I purchased two of these and after very limited and very careful use they no longer work. Therefore I am out $89.98 rather than being able to send these into Green Heat with the no questions asked warranty. I am really shocked that Amazon lets this company continue to advertise this product as something it is not.One last thing, I contacted Superb Shopper to inquire about the warranty on this particular Green Heat knockoff, and as I suspected there is zero warranty. You can buy the real deal Green Heat for not much more and get a lifetime warranty, don't make the same mistake I did and trust the product info as like I said, this company is not selling Instant Green Heat, they are selling Incredible Green Heat disguised and listed as Instant Green Heat.

These are okay. The larger ones can take a minute to fully heat up, but they do get hot and keep their heat very well. The cloth wraps that come with two of them (the back and knee/elbow packs) are convenient to keep from burning myself, but are too large for me to use properly. They were obviously designed with men in mind. When I opened the box for the back pack, it had partially crystallized already. I was concerned, but boiling it seemed to fix it right up. The metal disk in that one can be very difficult to flex, however, making it a struggle to use.

I would wrap that around my neck for a comfortable night's sleep
Not that impressed. I used to have some hand warmers that literally lasted months. The larger one in this pack is quite bulky after use, and it is difficult to fit into a pot to boil it back down. Most of all, here it is only a month later and it sprang a leak.My advice is to stick to the smaller pads and find some sort of cloth with pockets to put them in instead of dealing with these larger pads. In fact, the hand warmers I used to have would fit into old stretched out socks that I pinned together at the toes so that they could slip in and out of the ends. Then, I would wrap that around my neck for a comfortable night's sleep. Best of all, they last longer, it would seem.

Simply one of the coolest (hottest) products I've purchased!
These are AMAZING! If you love chemistry you will enjoy watching an exothermic reaction in process! The packs get very warm when activated and will stay warm for a couple of hours, especially if you insulate them with the included bands, a blanket, or clothing. The color is a beautiful aqua/turquoise color and the vinyl feel decent against bare skin. Being able to take these hiking into the wilderness and have heat when you need (and be able to recharge them in a pot over the camp fire) is really great! I loved them so much I bought another set to give as gifts to family members. You will not be disappointed with this product as long as you understand what Sodium Acetate heat packs are and how they work. Make sure you follow the instruction when boiling them to recharge, and don't leave them too long without reactivating them (they need to be stored in the "ready to use" state). Don't expect this to replace your electric blanket, but do expect this to give you years of relief from aches and pains!

The might have done what they were suppose to do but when I figured that they could not be softened until they went into boiling water. I would have had to keep a pot of water around all the time. I did not want to do that so I returned them.

Not even lukewarm
I thought I hit the jackpot only to be taken for a ride! The heating packs didn't even get warm enough to warrant a towel or barrier between my skin and device. My old one would get so hot that a barrier was necessary. It also crystalized immediately! These devices should not crystalize that fast. I also was disappointed in the sizes. The devices are very small and the neck/shoulder device wasn't big enough to cover the trapezoid muscles and the thoracic region of my shoulders. I will be returning these and continue the search.
