With all the garbage in the water if you don't have a filter you've got your head in the sand. In My Not So Humble Opinion. I've typically used RO Filters. Hated the waste of water, the install time, the space it took up under the sink.I have no way of testing this but if it performs as well it says it's the perfect filter for me. I live in Texas where the power grid is dodgy. We lose power about twice a year and then we get a Boil order. During the Snowpocalype we had this installed and did not boil ( do this at your own risk ) and just used the filter. All was good.I just replaced the filters with these for the first time and it was easy as kittens. Shockingly easy. I'm a big fan!

After several years of flawless service with several sets of filters, this last set of filters came in a plain brown box instead of the regular retail box I was used to getting. But, they were the proper model numbers and I installed them. The two filters on the outside leaked overnight and waterlogged the sink base and ran all out into the kitchen floor. I had to cut out the soaked and swollen sink base to get underneath to soak up the floor and have blower hose air to dry out and then anti-mold spray to disinfect under the kitchen cabinets. The blower blew the next day and night to get it all dry.We have been using a Brita on-counter tank water dispenser since then to filter drinking water (inconvenient). I have since found an extra, unopened, new-in-box set of these filters in the regular retail box, which I had forgotten about, in the hall closet. I haven't yet had the heart to try to install them, because the water leaking issue and flood damaged caused was so traumatic with the last set of filters that ruined our kitchen cabinets. I am sure I will (and I am confident those won't leak - they're in the regular retail box)We still have to repair the sink base and also the cabinet baseboards, which we had to drill holes in to get blower hoses in because water kept running out from under the cabinets on the sink side of the kitchen. It is dry, but water damaged. So the problem is not resolved. The $88 Amazon refund of the product does begin to fix the hundreds, perhaps thousands of dollars of repairs still ahead.

I love these filters. They are so easy to replace. I pulled my out of the cabinet and took the lid off being careful not to dislodge the water hose. You start with the smaller filters closest to the water source. Replace this first, then it will fill with water, replace the next small filter and finally the larger filter. This way you don't need to turn off your water, but put a towel under it to catch the bit of water that leaks out. You just turn the filter a quarter turn and it comes out ready for the replacement. After replacing all of the filters, run the water for a few minutes before drinking it. This will improve the taste and wash out all of the particles that may come with a new filter.

We love this water filter. The water tastes as good as from a reverse osmosis system. The filters are easy to install.
