Melissa & Doug Sterling Elephant Stuffed Animal

My son has 2 of these exact same elephants. He carries them around everywhere and sucks on the ear at night. Essentially they are his pacifier, safety blanket, best friends, and soother all in one. They get washed a few times a week and has held up nicely. I can tell the stuffing is starting to clump together in some areas, but all the stitching has held up and stuffing has stayed inside. He (and we) loves his "babies!"

Edited to add that this was purchased 5 years ago. This stuffy is our daughter’s favorite that she won’t sleep or go anywhere without.Considering the fact that it is standing up to daily abuse, many trips through the washing machine, etc, it still looks amazing.It seriously looks practically new, as good as it did when we first got it. It is excellent quality.Because of the material, I never put it through the dryer. If you put it through the dryer the fuzz on it will probably melt, ball up, and look like trash. Which is prob why ours still looks in perfect condition. Don’t put it in the dryer!!!My original review:Well made, super super soft, and adorable! Our baby loves it!

I have bought a bear by Melissa and Doug Sterling before and it was very cute and very soft. This Elephant is also very soft and cuddly, it is light grey with pale pink inside the ears and on pads of feet...I am 63 yrs old but I love elephants and bears and this is such a joy to me to look at and cuddle. The elephant also has what looks like black glass eyes...so so cute for any age.

So much cuter than the pictures show. Its trunk looks kinda funny in the pictures but perfect in real life up close. And omg so soft! If you, or your kid loves Elephants its something you have got to get. Perfect snuggle buddy for any elephant lover out there.

This is an excellent stuffed animal.PROS: It's not a rigid toy, i.e. the body parts and trunk aren't "fixed" so you can manipulate it slightly as if it were a real 'elephant' with moving limbs. Really cute, almost pensive expression. Soft and cuddly.CONS: Does shed a fair amount, especially out of the box. The hair covers the eyes, but easily fixable.

If you are trying to complement a theme for a nursery or as a special gift for a young child, this far surpasses the "standard" stuffed elephants you'll find in the kids' stores or ones branded to match clothes or accessories. This toy is extremely soft and has "personality" not often found. Just too cute! I purchased this as a gift for a colleague and couldn't be happier with the purchase.

This is a Christmas gift for a (quite young) nephew. It is super soft and huggable. It appears to be well made, and of good size. This is the 4 stuffed animal for nieces and nephews that I have bought from Melissa & Doug over the years, and previous recipients have been very pleased. I am sure that he will love it.

I bought a stuffed elephants for the twins that live next door for Christmas last year they love them and play with them all the time I highly recommend
