Easy installation, fits great and they are strong

I bought these to replace the failed struts on my 1984 Porsche 944. These snapped right in and the hatch operates as advertised (actually rises when the button is pushed). They come with the spade contacts on both sides for whatever you might need continuity for...I've cycled the hatch a dozen times since install, but time will tell if they continue to fulfill their role in the world.

my Porsche was having problems on the hatch, and I finally got tired of using a stick to hold the hatch, and let me tell you at first I was skeptical about what the product claims since I got burnt before with a product that I purchase a while back from somewhere in china and the product did not work, or performed as the company stated, and worst I was never able to send it back to the company address listed on the receipt so I can get a refund on my money, or at list exchange ti but everytime I send it a few days later it came back to my house with the note address does not exist or got move to a difrent location. I did this about 4 times and finally I give up and at time I say to my self I will never buy anything on line again. but a couple of years later here we are buying on line again but this time amazon backs you up with a refund if something goes wrong, and this hatch lift supports from tuff are a good example of the claims by the company promising an exact fit to my car, and guess what they are right I removed my old ones from my Porsche and the newones fit exactly, with no modifications to the product or my car. and it took me about 10minutes to install on the car so if you are like me and like old project cars then you should check them out ill recommend them.

Perfect replacement for the old struts on my Porsche 944 S.

These struts will fail faster than you would think possible. A set that I installed less than a year ago already has the hatch dropping on my head. Another set that I installed failed immediately.

This is a direct replacement for the rear hatch lifts in my '77 924. It went in without a problem and lifts the hatch glass without issue. The only issue is getting it closed. Maybe over time, it will lose a little strength and make the glass easier to close. As of now, I need to push the glass down with quite a bit of force to get it to close

Fits as expected. Easy installation and works well.

Some were saying the connector was on the wrong side, if you unscrew the clip that goes on the round part a tiny bit, you can move the electric connector around so its on the correct side of your car.That said, these have a lot of lift to them and I'm hoping won't damage the hatch. Pretty much takes 2 hands to lower the hatch in fact to not feel like the frame is getting torqued. That said though, this looks a whole lot better than holding it open with my head when putting stuff inside!!!!

They work well but the defroster connectors are not installed into the shock so the rear defroster can make a connection and work . They are floating and not secure as the originals are . The shock works great .
