Good buy for the car guy
If you're wondering if this product is worth purchasing, I say yes! I drive a 1998 Volkswagen Passat 1.8T, and this works flawlessly with Torque App. You just plug it in, pair it to your phones blue tooth, set up your car profile in the app and you're good to go.When pairing, the code 1234 worked for me. Now I can monitor nearly everything about my car including how much boost I'm running, coolant temp, 0-60/ 0-100 times, horsepower and torque in real time and much much more.I also have had no issues reading codes, and it even matches up with what VCDS (a specific Volkswagen diagnostics program) says hooked up to my laptop. This doesn't replace VCDS however, because there is no way to read other modules such as the transmission, alarm, airbags, etc. with the Torque app. But, I have cleared a check engine light multiple times in less than a minute. The iSaddle Super Mini is just that, super mini! It's very small so my knee doesn't bump it while plugged in, and I usually forget that it's plugged in and leave it for days at a time without it killing my battery, though I suggest removing it. I gave this product 5 stars because it has done everything I needed it to, and impressed a lot of people with Torque App on my Galaxy S5.When the weather starts to warm up and I go to a track, there is a track recorder within the Torque app that you can add your own displays to. This is great because I can watch it back later, seeing exactly what every function of my car is doing at every single turn. You could also use this as a dash camera in case of an accident, and you will have proof of your speed in real time with the video.Overall, the value you get from the iSaddle along with the Torque app far exceeds the small price. People spend far more money on different products that don't even do everything that this is capable of. I am still amazed at the low price of this product, and I would still be happy if it cost me over $50.00. I would also suggest buying a suction cup mount for your phone.I am by no means a professional reviewer. This is probably the second or third product I have ever reviewed in my entire life, and I'm writing this because I have nothing better to do honestly. But seriously I love this thing, thanks for reading.

Useful for years and years, still up-to-date
so far as I can tell, it hasn't needed updating at least with the cars I already have. The newest is 2016 and it works great with inCarDocPro. By the way, I never buy apps, but this one was worth it! These saddles are so damn cheap I bought one for each car. But don't leave them plugged in! The OBD-II port is powered even when the car is off so it'll eventually drain your battery.

Gets the job done...eventually
Works for the most part. Difficult to pair with LG Android phone or Samsung Android tablet as instructed. Seems to depend on the vehicle. For instance, turning the car on (2005 Hyundai) made it visible but kept it from pairing. Shutting the car off made pairing work. Go figure. But once it is paired and communicating, works fine with the Torque app for Android. Torque is a great app and worth the $5. Downloading fault codes takes about a minute, but I assume this and the pairing issue is largely dependent on the vehicle's connector and system.

Inexpensive scanner more convenient than visiting local auto parts store for free scans
We have two vehicles that are OBD2. This is our second bluetooth scanner. The first one worked fine, but we wanted to keep one in each vehicle. Running to the local auto parts store every time the CEL comes on can be a hassle on our older vehicles. Having one of these handy is very useful in determining how serious the problem is right then and there. This bluetooth scanner is compatible with the two Android apps that I use -- Piston and Torque. Not only can I check and clear problem codes, but it also gives access to every sensor monitored by the vehicle's computer system (ECM, ECU, etc.).If you are comfortable using Android apps and paring Bluetooth devices, this scanner will be easy to use for you.

It won't stay connected in between driving
It works with DASH, but not consistently with Torque. Often I have to pull out the unit and plug it back in every time I start the car to trigger the blue tooth connection to Torque. Kinda annoying. I've used in a '08 Tacoma, '13 Outback, and primarily in an '02 GMC Safari

Died after one month.
This worked fine for about a month, then died. The phone can see it, but it will not connect to any of the apps. The same thing happened with another one I had. Two others (ERSUN, & Goliton) were defective right out of the box. All of the versions that were bad were the small size like this one. I'll try the larger BAFX version since it seems to have the best reviews. All of the bad ones I ordered were the highest rated small versions that were available at the time - not the cheapest, so I'm not sure how you can be sure. Some of the reviews indicate that buyers have received different products at different times, even when ordered from the same product page. I wish Amazon would figure out which sources have poor quality and stop carrying them.
