Finally I found it somewhere
I dont know why but I was unable to find this at my local marine store. Glad I was able to find it online. I needed a trim tab anode that was both set back (for prop clearance) and full length (for added stability) and this item fit the bill! I tried using a flat anode but had too much torque steer, I tried using a set back trim anode but it didnt have enough material to combat the torque steer. This product was the answer, both set back and full size. Installed on my Mercruiser Alpha 1 Gen 2 outdrive. It came with the bolt with thread locker already on it. Only problem is that it only comes in aluminum so I had to swap out the rest of my anodes from zinc to aluminum.

Quicksilver for the win once again.
Excellent purchase! Looks better quality than OEM. This was fitted to a 1998 Mercury V6 150 and only modification I had to do was grind off a little material for clearance of my rear bolt through my housing which is mainly due to the reason that I run a lower unit extension plate because I swap out prop and jet pump from summer to winter times. Same day shipping was available and would buy again.

It fit my 40 hp mariner magnum outboard . Seems bigger than the one that was on there but fits none the less and will work just fine

Said it was for high rake propellers. Had to modify it for my Enertia prop. to clear?
The quality is good. There was not enough clearance for the Enertia propeller, which is a high rake propeller.

Can’t go wrong with QuickSilver ( Mercury) parts
An easy install and appear easy to adjust but may take a few try’s to get the boat to track properly depending on torque of the motor

Great product....
Product seams to be in good shape and good quality. However, my bottom end is compatible is this item and when I installed the screw was all the way in but was loose at the top.The screw was to long, so I had to improvise and grabbed a couple washers and now it's nice and tight.I would suggest the manufacturer to give some extra prices cause not everyone's is the same and may need make adjustments, different size screws and washers would definitely go along way.Honest review
