The expanded length works well
I love the length of the extended scooper. It is hard for me to bend over to clean the litter box and this eliminated that problem. It is sturdy. The clumped litter stays in the scoop and the free litter easily flows through the slots. I sent one to my sister. So that's four thumbs up!

Perfection.
This is the first time I have ever had a cat. Usually, I am a dog person but as I grew older and retired, I did not want to get another dog after my last one died of old age. So cleaning out litter boxes was a new chore for me. The smaller handled scooper I had got me a little too close to the litter I was removing. This long handled one is perfection. It is extremely sturdy, easy to clean and I am not so close to the waste as I shovel it out of the litter box. The only thing on my wishlist now is another one made this same way except it is a rake. That will make it easier to pile up the waste without having to sift the whole litter box before shoveling it away for disposal. Highly recommend this well made litter scooper-shovel.

A scoop that can make cleaning the litter box easier.
I appreciate the extended length so I don't have to bend. Also it's stainless steel and feels sturdy with a wide mouth. I gave it a four because I haven't used it

Perfect scoop for left handed people who want a long handled scoop.
Love this! The handle is long enough that I’m not breaking my back to clean the litter boxes and is nice and comfortable. The scoop is nice and wide so I’m not spending a lot of time cleaning and with it being metal, this may be the last scoop I need. I’m left handed and had bought an extendable scoop but it kept unlocking and made it difficult to clean the litter boxes. No problems with this one!

Study Metal Scooper!
Great quality for reasonable price. With sturdy metal construction this long scooper prevents back aches from bending down when using shorter scoopers. A simple twist of the shaft allows for easy extension with a locking mechanism that actually stays locked. The padded handle provides excellent grip when scooping litter, even in the harshest of environments.10/10

Extremely well made and easy to use.
We have 5 cats and four litter boxes, and with my arthritis it was becoming both difficult and painful to keep them cleaned out. We had a smaller metal scoop that was very good, but the handle just wasn't long enough to prevent painful stooping. I wasn't sure if the handle on the new scoop would be long enough, but it has turned out to be perfect. This scoop is one part of a three part system that has made cleaning multiple boxes a breeze for us, and I'd like to share the system with you. First, we now use Tidy Cat Light litter. which is much easier to handle than any other litter we have tried. It does have one drawback, however: it is so lightweight that it sticks to little cat feet and gets tracked across the floor, requiring frequent sweeping or vacuuming. Even so, we think the benefits outweigh this drawback. Second, we found a small trashcan that's a perfect size for Walmart plastic bags, that has little end ledges to hold the bags handles in place. All I have to do is hook up a double bag and it's held in place to easily empty the scoop into. It eliminates trying to hold the bags with one hand while you try to scoop with the other. We use a trash can, but any framework for holding the bags in place will do. This new scoop works perfectly with this system. What used to take 30 minutes now takes about 5 painless minutes. Very highly recommended.

Loosens while using
The scoop’s metal construction is sturdy and the scoop does a good job of picking up litter but when the handle is extended, the extension connection loosens while scooping so you have to keep stopping to tighten it. So not very useful. A little longer would be more comfortable too.

Lets you clean your cat's box if you have hip precautions after surgery.
I had hip surgery scheduled in September of 2024. I was trying to think of all the things I'd need once I got home. I knew that there'd be no bending down for about six weeks after surgery, so I needed something to help me scoop my cat's litter box without having to bend down. A commenter on a YouTube video related to hip surgery suggested a long handled litter scoop. I didn't even know they existed. I was glad to hear there was such a thing to help me still take care of this important task. It worked great.
