Propellers are completely covered so no losing props or getting hit by them, but they do include an extra set. My 5 year old son loves it! And he actually flies it well! Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  Bought this for our four and a half year old, he loves it, didn’t take him long to figure out how to fly it after my husband showed him how. It beeps when battery is low, flight time is decent, it’s crashed into everything and survived, so far only one blade has broken in the last two days. It came with replacement parts, too. I couldn’t find anywhere in the description that it was ages 14+ which is what is says on the box when I opened it. The charging port is delicate so we’ve had to make sure our son isn’t yanking the cord out.

This thing is a lot of fun straight out of the box. It was super easy to fly right out of the box, the quick start gets you started in a minute.Just started fiddling with it, so far it earns a 5 star, but the kids get their hands on it tomorrow.We'll see how it holds.Update May 4th.This little thing is still holding, kids have played with it, I have, and it still flies today as it did the day it was opened. The other two flyers I got for almost the same price crapped out a while ago.I highly recommend it.

I did a lot of researching and looking through reviews, and with off brand chinese items, you never know what you will get. Initially this little drone is great. I have purchased maybe 6 drones for my son who is 7 and loves this stuff. One button take off and landing. Boom. Life is good. The only odd thing is that when you turn it on, you have to do a little control dancing to sync it. Think of it like putting in your secret code on the nintendo. Minus 1 start for being so dang tiny- didnt expect it to be so small. If it was about 10-20 percent bigger it would be perfect. Kudos to the manufacturer COMPLETELY enclosing the blades with a cage. Duh. No brainer.

We bought this for our eight-year-old, who loves it. It flies around the house like a little blue UFO. He’s learned how to make it do dips and swirls. Seems surprisingly rugged - has crash landed numerous times and still seems fine. The rotors stopped working and we took it apart and took the hair that had wound around one of them out, and put it back together, and it worked great again. They only mishap was once when he flew it into his sister’s head and it got caught in her hair and I had to cut some hair to get it out. The six minutes of flying time and then 45 minutes of quiet while it charges it is actually a great rhythm.

I enjoyed the mini drone when I received it, as I found out it was a drone very easy to figure out and easy to use for beginners. The remote was light, and the control is far easier to each. More importance think is my little girl is very excited on it!!!!

it is pocket size, and the battery life is very during considering the size.The propellers were encircled by plastic guards, in this way, it go fully protected even when it was crashed. There is a nice headlight in the front so you can easily locate on the dark. Anyway,my kids like it.

We bought this after drone having to return another brand's mini that was just too hard for my kids to learn, wouldn't hover, and even the adults couldn't figure it out! After that experience, we read some reviews and found the SNAPTAIN mini drone had the features we were looking for, like Altitude Hold, One Key Return and 360° Flips, and at a price that made it affordable to buy for our our kids, ages 9 and 7.It took them just a few trips to the park to learn how to really open it up, after having practiced a little inside the house first. It's fun to fly, the controller is intuitive (not like the other brand we returned!) and the USB charger makes it simple and fast to recharge. Even came with extra propellers, but so far, we haven't needed them. This little drone has been durable enough to hold up to 2 kids' use, and even after a few hard landings, it's still going strong.Getting outside and having fun with our kids is important to us, and it's even more fun when we fly our SNAPTAIN drone together. Get yourself one and get outdoors for fun!
