Wonder Forge Vegas Dice Game

Summary: This is a game of chance and skill by Ravenberger Games America for ages 8+, 2-5 players, and lasts around 30 minutes.(Please see the enclosed pictures.)You start with a pile of dice. There are six spots to park your dice on. Each turn you must select all of one value of rolled faces (one through six) and put those faces on the corresponding spot. Let's say you rolled: 2, 2, 3, 4, 5, 5, and 6. You could put the two 2s on the two spot, the one 3 on the three spot, etc. You must put all of the same number on the spot though. For example, if you had the roll shown, you would put two 5s on the five spot, but you could not choose to put just one down.You get to roll the dice left next turn. Once places, a die cannot be recovered till after scoring.Once everyone has placed all his or her dice, the player with the highest number of dice on a tile gets the dollar reward shown for that tile. Note that if there is a tie, both of the highest scoring players are eliminated, and the next highest player gets the reward.On to the Dr Games’ Criteria …GO/NO GO Criterion• Complexity: (GO) The game is deceptively simple. Luck comes into play with the die rolls each turn, but knowing basic probability can help you make clever placements.• Clarity: (GO) The rules are very clear.• Reasonable Time: (GO) Expect to play this game for about thirty minutes.Bonus Criteria• Social: It is a competitive game, but there was a fair amount of excitement at the table as people undertook risky strategies. We all were rooting for the risk takers to make their gambles.• Unique/Interesting Mechanics: The idea of committing early versus late is clever.• Informed: This would be a good game to teach probability theory.• Rewards Throughout: You play three turns, and any money you win on a turn stays with you to the end of the game.All in all, this is a hidden gem, and I highly recommend it.

This is a game that I thoroughly enjoyed and it can be played in a short time too. My 6 and 8 yrs grandkids introduced this to me along with their Dad. It's strategic, thought provoking, and damn fun !!!!! The kids have learned counting along with how and why you play the game to win. Once the kids went to bed, all 5 Adults played for awhile too. You can start to see how the other players think and use it to your advantage at time. It teaches and fun at the same time along with lots of laughter. Easy to set up and learn to play. Once I arrived home, I ordered 5 of this game. One for my home and 4 as Christmas gifts. Hope you enjoy as much as I do. It's worth the investment to buy

This is a simple but very entertaining game. It is designed to be played with five players, but I think it may have more strategy playing it with 2-4 players rather than the full compliment of 5 because it introduces the concept of neutral dice which changes the dynamics considerably.It took maybe 2-3 minutes to explain the rules. It takes maybe 15-20 minutes to get a full game of 4 rounds of play. Replay value appears to be very, very high.I recommend this game highly.

I found this game in a Bargain Hunt and bought a number of them and gave them away as presents. It has been such a hit! I ran out of the Bargain Hunt ones, so when a relative came to visit and LOVED this game, I headed to Amazon to find "the perfect gift" that allows people to spend time together and still enjoy a bit of chatting. It is super easy to learn and plays quickly.

First played this at a friends party and fell in love with it. Surprised how cheap it is which is incredible. My only concern is I wish there was a 6th set of dice because I feel it is totally doable for the gameplay. Love this game. Get it. Everyone I've played it with (ages 20-60) have learned in in 3 minutes.

The box is quirky [mine came crushed] but the game is fun! I especially like it for social gatherings that are not necessarily "gaming" days. You can hold out for the *new* version of the game but the original is good as it is.

We just discovered this game during the holidays. As a game loving family, we really enjoyed it. Best part, it’s one of those games that easily spans generations. We had 6 to 70. A little bit of strategic advice to the youngest, but anyone could win. We purchased a few more sets of dice so we could expand number of players.

This is a fun game, but the quality of the materials is lower than other editions and the ridiculous box takes up space unnecessarily without being designed to hold the components well.
