A brand new, cellular-data-enabled rugged tablet at a fabulous price.
Bought this from Amazon for just under $100, expecting it to be a refurbished model or something. It was, in fact, brand spanking new, in the unopened original packaging. The Galaxy Tab Active2 is not the latest tablet. It's a several-year-old model, but it's a GREAT deal and does all the basic things you'd expect of an Android tablet. I bought it to replace an original Galaxy Tab Active for use as a navigation screen on a motorcycle - because there are some apps that won't run at all on the original. I was a bit disappointed to find I couldn't use it with my drone as it won't run DJI's latest software. However, I was pleased to see that it comes with the protective rubber case and stylus so I've found additional things it's useful for.

Ruggedized is no joke.
I bought mine in June of 2021. It's now November 2022 and theres barely a scratch on it. And I'm rough on devices. So for me this is unheard of. This was no exception either. I ran it over in the parking lot of my apartment, blacktop parking lot, with a Chevy equinox and not a scratch. The tire track ran top to bottom and covered the entire width so it didnt just get nicked. The worst thing that's happened is I lost the pen that comes with it and I just noticed they're 25 freakin dollars. Which I feel is a little excessive but I mean just saying. 12$ seems more appropriate... wink wink nudge nudge

Replacement for my "Car" Tablet
Been using an LG-v530 LTE 8" tablet in my vehicle for Spotify, navigation (GMaps), TorquePro, etc. It died a slow death as the battery swelled to point screen began popping off, case swollen, but otherwise still working. As an active user of the Tab Active3, I looked around for other versions that might fit the bill.Enter the Tab Active2. I only got the 16GB version, but was warehouse deal described in very good condition for less than $100. Battery is still replaceable, it fits the dock that I have for my Active3 as it has same pogo pin arrangement. My v530 only had 2GB RAM, the Active2 has 3. I had some memory issues, hoping the extra 1GB will help with that alot. Oh yeah, the Active2 is fully rootable, and there is a lot of bloatware that can be removed. What I am missing already is "No Battery Mode" that is featured on my Active3. I don't have to have a battery installed in the tablet, just connected to power all the time. Works great on a forklift as well as Toyota Tundra pickups. But, the Active2 doesn't have it. Not sure I was fully aware of that before bought, but isn't a deal breaker. What might be your deal breaker is that many places, including Amazon, advertise that the Active2 is able to make phone calls. It can't. The phone functionality has been disabled. But, you can use VoIP / SIP accounts. I installed Google Voice onto it, and probably not the best solution, it is the most universal. Calls coming into my Note10+ N975F are forwarded to Google Voice if my speed is over 10mph. This means that I can use my phone, watch, computer, Active3 and now Active2 tablet for phone calls. Common number. The Active2 is not a fix-everything solution for everybody, but it will be satisfying my requirements nicely. Oh yeah, 1 more thing. The battery is easily replaceable. Pull it out of the case, pop up battery cover, swap in a new one, and you are good to go again. Don't worry about a good deal going south due to bad battery, you can replace it or even have seller replace it if you pay for it.

Durable and sturdy.
The Samsung Tablet is well made and will take punishment. It is a little older and not very fast but it can get wet, dropped and still work just fine. The battery life is good. If you want a basic android tablet that you don't have to worry about, this is your tablet. It has limited memory but you can add a micro SD card if you like. The price was great and the condition of the tablet was like new. No issues with the product thus far. Would recommend if you know what you are getting ahead of time.

One of the best tablets I've found
I researched this purchase a bit heavily before pulling the trigger but was pleasantly surprised by the quality, features, and software available for this tablet. It performs well, has a rugged feel to it and lots of software applications available. Battery use for me is about 3 to 4 days using it sporadically throughout the day. The user interface seems solid with no surprises. The pen takes a little getting used to but works well. I am well pleased with using it on the go.

GPS works with Navionics without a WiFi signal
I bought this primarily for Florida Keys marine navigation using Navionics. I bought a Micro SD to download the map set. The one I bought will not take a SIM. It works good so far for Navigation far outside of Cell Service and WiFi range.
