DHMXDC 300Mbps Mini Wireless-n Router, Wifi Range Extender/Wireless Repeater/Internet Signal Booster With 2 Ethernet Port And External Antennas AP (WIFI Booster)

Bought this router in order to extend to my shed (also purchased 20m RJ45 lead) via hardwire to my Virgin Media router. All OK apart from setting-up a secure wi-fi. After emailing seller had it sorted within two emails. The trick was to link my PC to the n-wireless router then open up browser whilst connected to n-wireless router. Logged in no problem and had encryption set-up within seconds. This may seem obvious to some but my excuse is the instructions aren't very clear on this point - hope this helps.

The wifi extender I bought was really good .There is quite good connection of internet in my house .

Horrible product, do not buy. The item itself looks ok however the performance is terrible. It took me about half an hour to an hour to get it working and when I did the connection was rubbish. I did a speed test and it provided slightly worse that the other wi-fi connections I have but the ping time was in the thousands (a good ping would be around 20 or less and anything over 100 or so would be considered very bad) and that was on the one occasion that it decided to load the speed test at all! Loading web pages took upto a minute and that was just the basic google search page.I would not recommend this to anyone, except perhaps cosplayers/costume designers and only then as material to make some kind of prop (and I am sure there are more than enough, cheaper and probably better quality, mitems/materials for them to use out there!

Item works. Lets get that stated first. The adapter to slide on the item to enable it to be used in UK sockets result in the item plugged in upside down. It has several bits of information printed on it so if you think it will help to know what they are it may be a good idea to write them down before plugging in. The really downside, for me, is the fact that I bought it to try improve the signal to my TV. It did everything it is advertised to do but my idea was a failure. Since the item was working upsidedown I wonder if I should have turned the TV up the other way. I must stress that everything worked as it was supposed to and installing it was easy by following the instructions included in the box.

I have 5 of these around the house. After major building work there’s a lot of steel in the house. Most of the house was hard wired so connect a switch to the router and connected these into various rooms.Easy to switch between and most of the time easy to configure.WiFi does drop out here and these but there’s 4 laptops, TVs, phones, heating and speakers all running off a 60mb connection so can’t complain. When it does drop it’s usually a minute or two. Hard to say if it’s these of the router though.

Living in a three story high rise make it difficult to get consistent wifi, I purchased a wifi extender and it really works, speed is great everywhere, the video streaming works great now with no freeze

On opening the packaging this unit felt cheap. the 3 pin UK plug is upside down so when plugged into a wall socket the LAN ports are at the top and the LED and writing is upside down.the supplied documentation was very clear and I set this up in repeater mode then used the LAN connection to hook up to my CCTV DVR as it was too far away to run a cable.rebooted the unit and was up and running in a few minutesnow i can access my CCTV over wifi and 4G so very happy apart from the fact it is upside down and the cable comes out of the top but it works hence the 4 stars not 5
